"The food and service was dreadful!!! We had to wait a long time for our food and we enquired three times when it would arrive. When our meals eventually arrived the garlic and onions in two of the curries were raw and unedible. All of the curries were tasteless, bland and not very hot. The sag paneeer did not resemble anything i had eaten before it was like the cheese and spinach had been warned up in a korma sauce. No one came to check to see if our meals were okay. After the other meals were finished we tried to order drinks with 3 different waiters but nothing arrived. The whole evening was a waste of money, which was ashame as the evening out was for my dad's birthday treat. We wont be going back."

"We booked for the two of us for dinner a few weeks ago. I hadn’t been to A Table at Eatons for many years and so We were looking forward to it! We were not disappointed at all. Very warm welcome and chit chat from John and Lou who treated us like old friends. The food was really good and well prepared and presented. My wife had the Field Mushroom and Goats Cheese whilst I had Scallops. Highly recommended. For mains we chose Chicken for my wife and I had the Rack of Lamb. Pink and gorgeous! We both had puds Treacle and Stem Ginger tart and Crème Caramel. We also had a bottle of Italian red. Thanks for a great evening we will be back soon…"

"This pub could be so much better. Interiors are grim and shabby (peeling plaster on walls and ripped fabrics on chairs are not appealing at all). The dining area is a 1970s brown and is cold and without atmosphere. Food is average which is a shame as the service is good. The food we ordered was well below average being both tasteless and unimaginative. A big menu shake up with some better quality ingredients and better presentation would go a long, long way but until that happens and the place puts some money into its interiors we would not go back."

"I stayed and ate at The Lion as I was working nearby. I was greeted when I arrived and the lady was friendly and helpful. It was the nicest room very clean and modern. There was the normal tea, coffee etc but there was also extras fruit teas, hot chocolate, biscuits and crisps. That was a great touch for the evening snack attack. The bed was comfy too. I liked the finishing touches of the cushions. Bottled water was also available in nice bottle. I will definitely be recommending to my family and friends. I will definitely be back Rooms: Best room I've stayed in Food drinks: I had buttermilk half chicken great portion size and chips"
