first visit during a walk in the woods close to. stopped for a well needed pint. beautiful pub, friendly staff, large beer garden was a good end to a good day outside. will eventually be back to taste the food.

Beautiful Sunday lunch here today, great choice of starters and deserts aswell, plenty of meat and great selection of vegetables, real n proper Yorkshires n gravy. Would definitely recommend great atmosphere, friendly staff

Fantastic Sunday lunch. When my wife became ill with heat exhaustion after a long cycle ride, the staff were wonderful. Tabatha took charge and stayed with her then the landlord drove me home to pick up my car to complete the journey. All staff went above and beyond. Many thanks.

I highly recommend this place! We were a group of four, including two vegetarians, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied. The appetizers were delicious, the roasted dishes were outstanding, and the garlic cheesy bread was the best I've ever had. The open lasagna was absolutely amazing, and all the desserts were five-star quality! If you’re in the area, be sure to check it out!

We had a fantastic meal here on Father's Day. I ordered the beautifully cooked rare beef, just as I requested, and had the option of chicken, lamb, and boar, or all four for just an extra £1. The side dishes were great, especially the delicious cauliflower cheese, which we believe is a key indicator of a great roast. They also had lovely homemade desserts, but unfortunately, I was too full to try one myself—though I did manage to taste a bit of my partner's. The staff were very friendly as well. Thank you!
