we weren't there for a long time, so we didn't know what to expect. However, we had really nice eating, good menu choice and extremely inexpensive! would come back 100% often!

Visited at the beginning of Jan 2022 while on a weekend break from London. I had the steak pie, mash and veg and was blown away! Well deserving of the award. Partner had the sea bass fillets. Also amazing!

we had a fabulous evening in the newly renovated white horse. eating was excellent, the service was excellent and icing on the cake was live music with a really talented singer. it was a perfect evening that had resurrected and fun. thanks white.

we came as the last minute change of plans that pub was recently renovated and looks really nice. eating was really good and well presented, really recommend the nourish bowl and the burgers. the staff is very friendly and friendly, especially. the manager jon and amanda who were great.

We visited for a festive Christmas meal to round off our annual pre Christmas walk. The atmosphere was lovely and the meal was better and more imaginative than the usual Christmas offerings and well presented. The service was excellent. If I lived in the area,...I would make this my local. I will definitely revisit when I get the opportunity.

Booked for Christmas lunch with the family. Staff were friendly and food quite good but they need to do more to make the pub welcoming for the diner on what should be a special day.. No fire on in the pub, no crackers, stuck down...tablecloths and NO loo seats in the ladies loos so have to hover while you wee. Come on guys, I know its been a tough year but seriously......

We hadn't been in this pub for several years so thought we would give it a go. We were not disappointed. Tori looked after us in a polite and friendly manner from the moment we walked in. Our food was delicious and served promptly, pork...belly for me and steak and ale pie for my husband. There was no waiting at the bar, everything was brought to the table. We will certainly recommend to our local friends and neighbours and we will return. Thanks Tori. You brightened up our Wednesday.

I’ve lived in the area for three years, known it for way longer but this is the first time I’ve been. We had the sharing Sunday roast on the recommendation of a friend. It was, quite simply outstanding. It’s a rustic pub, no pretence, no...airs and graces. No need to dress us, in fact come fresh off devils punch bowl for a 4.30pm Sunday roast and it was served brilliantly and attentively without being in your face. The food was hot, fresh, well cooked (beef was perfectly still slightly pink) crackling crackled! And all was faultless. And at £31 for a roast for two (could have also shared with our son had he not been at a party) we thought was good value. We will be back!!! Thank you!!

the white horse has always been one of the two local pubs in the high street of my hometown and the atmosphere is always welcoming, but I rarely go in these days as I have lived in the country for many years. I invited a friend there. for a drink on Valentine's Day and we decided to eat. the bar staff, amanda and lewis were on the ball and super friendly. the pub even has bowls with water and snacks if each of its guests have four legs. the whole place has a perfect rural pub atmosphere. my friend and I had steak.
