Lovely family evening meal for 10 on a busy Saturday night. Excellent service and exceptional food. Vegetarian option was very well received. We will return and highly recommend The White Horse

Very unhelpful staff member, they could with a customer relations class. Always seems like they have had a terrible day making it known. A welcoming smile friendly word would make such a difference!

. Food was absolutely amazing and plentiful. Normally a Christmas meal is predictable , bland and uninteresting . However not here. Everything was fresh and appetising. The turkey dinner was to die for . The assortment of veg was excellent, the Yorkshire pudding was huge. The staff were very helpful and attentive. These are the best chicken wings I've ever had. The service is just okay. We were originally told we couldn't get a table until 8pm, so we sat outside on the benches with some drinks. However, we noticed plenty of empty tables inside, so we eventually just went in. It was a bit strange. My family and I shared all three of the sharing boards available along with some drinks, and everything was delicious and came in generous portions!

Nice atmosphere, chicken with bacon and mozzarella goid flavours but chicken was dry and overcooked, pork nice with patatas bravoos. Two ladies next to our table, one ordered fish and chips which looked fab the other lady had ordered the vegan option it was very skimpy I heard her say it should have come with some mango the young waiter came back and said they had d ran out, I felt sorry for her as that is not good enough especially at £17!

Having had 2 good lunchtime experiences I was looking forward to an evening meal. I ordered the hallumi burger and when it arrived I mistook it for an ordinary burger as it was so brown and overcooked. Unfortunately the hallumi was tasteless due to the outside being so overdone. I had to return it for an ordinary burger. When I cut into it it was complexly pink inside by this point my friend had eaten her meal so I ate the bun and fries. We came to the restaurant for drinks and did not order any food, even though the food options looked great. We ended up spending nearly £20 on drinks. Unfortunately, a wasp landed in a family member's drink and we were unable to remove it. We notified the bar staff and were given beer mats to cover our drinks to prevent the same thing from happening again. Other tables were also trying to fend off the wasps. We were able to get the drink replaced, but had to pay for it again. This experience did not leave us with a good impression, so we finished our drinks and left.

We stayed for 3 nights, b b, for a really good price. Whilst a bit on the small side, our room was warm, clean and tidy. Bottled water, biscuits, tea and coffee were topped up or replaced daily. Our cooked breakfasts were excellent as were our evening meals (halloumi burger and beef burger). All of the staff were friendly and efficient and really made our stay enjoyable. Overstrand is an excellent base to explore the northern part of Norfolk. Our highlight was a walk on the coast path to Cromer. Tip: if the tide is out, walk to Cromer on the beach as it's easier going.

We stopped by for coffee in the late morning and ended up making a reservation for lunch after noticing that the restaurant was dog-friendly and the menu looked appealing. After a stroll along the seafront, we returned for lunch and were promptly seated in the conservatory, a cool spot for our two small dogs. The servings were generous and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his sweet potato chilli curry. I opted for the gammon steak with fat chips, two fried eggs, and Boston baked beans, which was also delicious. The Boston baked beans were the best I've ever tasted!
