Went for a birthday meal, food was gorgeous, staff were so friendly and polite and reasonably priced. My mum can't believe I've never taken her here before woops! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30

The White House has always been our first choice for a family meal. Lovely food, friendly staff and just a nice relaxing atmosphere. It's well worth the drive. We've been going for years and never been disappointed. We love the place!

Met up here for lunch after my mums funeral. They opened up early to let us in for coffee. Staff were really nice friendly and welcoming. The food was spot on and lots of choice. We all had different things and everyone enjoyed it. Coffee really good and lots of other drinks to choose from. Definitely a good place to go. Highly recommended

Sundays are right! a walk through the reservoir with the dogs then dinner in the white house! warm, welcoming, child-friendly and particularly good eating. £58 for 2 adult (main and dessert,) a child's meal and 2 round drinks! absolute smashing value for probably the best pub food for hundred miles. highly recommend to recommend any of the lamb dishes, although their special board is very rarely disappointed!

Visited for the first time yesterday after a lovely walk in the area. Where to start,despite how busy they were we were seated in minutes,drinks order taken right then,food order then taken.My partner had the steak pie he cleaned the plate while I ordered the Burger which was delicious but couldn't finish as it was too much for me. I suggested a lady Burger might be best for small appetites.We will be back. Thanks There's more than enough choice on the menu to bring us back again

Great time great food and great service by friendly staff. A good variety of food and drink at the summit. The menu is very good to choose from but before placing the order saw the day special menus and choose one of the meals from it crab Thermador and it was a good choice. The dish sizes are designed for Lancashire abilities and if you are not from Lancashire or Yorkshire don't think you can finish it. But if there for a walk you need it. The weather at the top the cool wind and walking and climbing make appreciate the heavy dishes and maybe finish it with very nice fruit pie and caster or ice cream

First time at the Whitehouse for at least 25 years and the place hasn’t changed one bit in a good way. Arrived at 545 on a Saturday afternoon you can’t book unless larger table over 5 but went early it was rammed already which is a good sign . Food gammon eggs very tasty lady had steak strips in a spicy sauce all enjoyed very much two pints of cider and two large red wines £52 all comparable to the other. Saddleworth must go to the Church Inn is it as good no but food still very good and serving staff great .
