Nice outside seating area with easy ordering via the App and scanning the QR code on your table. Excellent large mixed grill and the cheapest I've had at a Wetherspoons; £10.95 including a pint.

The William Jameson is a gem of a pub in a vibrant neighborhood. Friendly staff, great food, and a wide drink selection make it a must-visit spot. Affordable prices add to the appeal. Highly recommended!

Only been going back to wetherspoons for last 4 weeks. Fell out with them when covid started..... But as cost of living. And energy prices due to rocket. I have had to review my situation Thursday . Sorry but yes the price has brought me back..

My local pub is a bit run down and could use a renovation. The toilets are in poor condition and there are often local individuals who have issues with alcohol and drugs present. However, the food we ordered was good and they have a great selection of real ales.

This restaurant is in desperate need of a complete makeover. It looks very old and worn down. I don't understand why they invested so much money in the Copper Rose next door, but neglected to update this place. The prices for drinks and food are also increasing. The staff could definitely improve in being more polite and respectful towards customers.

Always liked this Wetherspoons (the first one in Sunderland). Went in twice in one week once for Eat Out to Help Out and once for a drink. Food was great as were the staff and the service. Always a good pint in The William Jameson too. I love the Wetherspoons app, although I still feel a bit guilty using it and getting table service. I 'll get over it though

Brought my daughter for a simple burger and chips. Was quite busy but found a table near back within 30 seconds of going in...waited no more than 2 minutes at bar to place order...plenty of friendly staff serving. Food arrived within 10 minutes. Super quick service. Food and soft drink were excellent value for money. £20 for 2 6oz burger with bacon cheese with side order of 12 onion rings. Very happy with service. Would recommend and will be returning soon.

Visited this place about a week ago and ordered drinks to the table, I watched them do the drinks then they were put on the bar to be brought to our table, the drinks were there for around 15 to 20 minutes and were never brought to the table so I went and grabbed them myself. Quite poor service, but to say it was mid week Wednesday and through the day, too. But not a bad pub overall. Just go to the bar if you want drinks quicker, which is my advice. It may not be like that Al the time, and they could have been short staffed.

The staff member at this restaurant was extremely rude for no apparent reason. When we attempted to order a drink, she told us we couldn't have it and demanded to know what we wanted instead. We politely asked for some time to decide, but she was visibly upset. She walked away before I could ask a question, and when I approached her, she was defensive and disrespectful. I simply wanted to inquire about a refund for the two drinks we were charged for but didn't receive. Despite her initial promise to refund us, I later discovered she had no intention of doing so. She returned shortly after and aggressively pressured us to make a decision, even resorting to childish behavior when we hesitated....
