"We had the most amazing experience at Hayward’s this weekend. I booked the dinner and accommodation package for my husbands birthday months ago. Since booking, I have had to go on a strict diet for medical reasons. I contacted Hayward’s and they went above and beyond what I had expected by creating a fully bespoke menu for myself, meaning I didn’t miss out on anything and you would never have known the food had been adapted. My husbands food was incredible as well. The service on the night was impeccable, our glasses were never empty and little touches such as the waitress’s ensuring the tables were clean after each course did not go unnoticed. We would highly recommend visiting this family run business and we will be back for definite."

"We booked this on the basis of reading all the reviews across Epping facebook groups and was honestly looking so forward having seen some images of the outside dinning and the “smoke house menu” sadly This wasn’t the case. 1. We turnt up to a...completely empty restaurant (Saturday night) 2. Wasn’t offered a drinks menu, they stock 1 bottle beer and we waited about 15 minutes whilst the lad serving us tried to find a bottle of wine. 3. No music or atmosphere just the sheer silence of an empty restaurant and we could just hear the chef chatting away about his personal life 4. Asked about the smoke house menu and we was given the al la carte which was completely different and had nothing of what we had seen on it. 5.Ordered pigeon for starter, really tough and bland 6. Didn’t have any sharing steaks so went for fillet. Had to send back as it was cold and way too rare for what I ordered. 7. 2 more tables joined later on but what was infuriating was that one table was relatives of a staff member and just had the owner and another random guy sitting around drinking, talking (even swearing) just not comfortable dining. Overall we are well and truly disappointed. To pay £100 for poor food, in basically a rich mans shed is just not on. We could have gone miller and carter, had twice the amount of food for half the price and had a better night."

"My partner and I were looking for somewhere to grab lunch in the afternoon on NYE. I found the Horseshoes on a Google search, so booked a table as it looked good. It's a cute little countryside feel, cozy pub. Upon first looking at the menu (which has quite a lot of options), the prices seemed slightly higher than some other places in the area, but the waiting staff said that the portions come out large they weren't wrong! Food was very good and excellent value for money. I had the sausage and mash, and a side of onion rings. My other half had the pork bellies and we shared a side of cream spinach. Was all great. Total bill came to £50 (including one alcoholic drink and a soft drink). Staff were attentive and friendly. Food came out fairly quickly. Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options."

"Only had a takeaway, but will be back to eat in.. Good portion size. Chicken and Lamb was cooked well. Kids enjoyed their Chicken tikka. Chicken Pathia could have been hotter (spice), it’s usually ‘one up’ from a madras . Nothing was oily . Very friendly staff. Another review mentioned refurbishment? Maybe it’s been done , I thought it was really nice in there, and certainly didn’t smell . I sat there with a beer whilst I waited for my order, seemed to have decent wine on list too, which isn’t always case with Indian restaurants. Having recently moved to Epping , glad to find a new local “go to” curry house"

"We live in the US and we’re traveling to Essex for a holiday. We were looking For a great Indian restaurant and found it. We read the reviews and decided to give Cinnamon a try. The food was exceptional as was the service. You cannot get a good Indian in the States so we were excited to have an Indian dinner in England. It really is terrific food with wonderful flavors. Absolutely loved it. Chicken Tikka Masala and a Vegetavle Korma were the two dishes plus Aloo Gobi side. We will return"
