Thistles Coffee Shop Catering

Was in the shop today. Loved the new decor and the freshly made strawberry tarts were to die for. Thank you Bobby Marion.

My first visit to this restaurant was excellent. The Afternoon Tea was delightful and the staff were wonderful. The cafe was very clean and the staff were compliant with all COVID regulations. I will definitely be returning.

This is a great wee place on the main street in West calder. They serve breakfast until 11.30am and then soups, sandwiches and toasties after that. They also have a great selection of home baking. Well worth a visit for breakfast or a wee coffee and a cake in the afternoon. Staff very friendly and everything is reasonably priced. Hope to go back soon. Speisekarte ansehen

I use CCS garage for MOT'S and popped in here for breakfast. Wasn't disappointed... (unlike last time when I decided to give the new cafe over the road my business). Been to thistles for lunch before but not breakfast. Thistles breakfast was cooked fresh.. arrived roasting on a hot plate. Tasty stornaway black pudding and everything else on my plate was hot. Served with toast and a hot coffee. At £7.50 I know where I will be going for breakfast next time I'm visiting ccs.

Had a wonderful lunch here today, as always fantastic food and wonderful service with a smile. Dedpite current restrictions and a wee bit less room we managed to be fitted in (thankyou so much). Despite being busy, with being acknoiwledged at the door and served with a smile. Food is always excellent here and soup, my husband says, is to die for as well as the merangues. Always a nice selection of cakes as well here if you just want a tea/coffee and a cake. But soup and range of rolls/paninis are very good. Well recommended.

I want to thank you once again for a wonderful lunch experience. Everything was perfect as usual. My husband Jim absolutely loved his chicken broth, and I enjoyed my usual delicious panini. It's always a pleasure to dine here, and despite the changing government regulations, everything was handled with care and a smile. I would highly recommend stopping by for a lovely lunch or breakfast. The restaurant is conveniently located near the bus stop going to Livingston or across the street if you are coming from there. I just wanted to express my gratitude to Bobby and Marion Grindlay for a fantastic afternoon tea with lentil soup. We celebrated our daughter's 30th Birthday in their garden, where Bobby prepared individual platters for 6 people. The platters were filled with delicious sandwiches, sausage rolls, chicken satays, haggis bon bons with dip, crisps, and a variety of cakes (cream scones, meringues, strawberry tarts, eclairs, and their famous tablet). It was definitely worth the money. We have never been disappointed with the meals, afternoon teas, snacks, or barbecues prepared by Bobby, Marion, and their staff over the years. Love this place for either a cooked breakfast, or in this case alight lunch. Glad I booked ahead as place was jumping. Despite being full my order was taken promptly and my wife and I always enjoy the banter from the friendly efficient staff( cheers Jane).The range of paninis sandwiches baguettes is excellent and there is very often a chef’s special to tempt you for something unusual.The soup sandwich deal is good value for money and the choice of fresh cakes/ desserts is mouthwatering- the large meringue is my favourite.My wife loves the range of flavoured coffees.The cafe has a loyalty card which I commend.I feel lucky to have this great eating place on my doorstep and highly recommend it...

Popped into Thistle’s for lunch on Mon31st. The Covid hygene is excellent with masks required until seated,hand sanitizers mandatory and effective screening between tables which are thoroughly cleaned by staff. My wife I felt very safe dining there and used their phone app for fest and trace data. The food is always freshly prepared and my Tuna Melt baguette was very tasty and was served with a nice side salad, homemade coleslaw crisps. My wife had her usual applewood smoked cheese toastie. which she loves. Washed down with two Bailey,s cream Lattés. Alas Bobby’s famous merengues we’re finished but this allowed us to sample a scrumptious Munchies cheesecake full of flavour light as a feather... Speisekarte ansehen
