Tofurei - Speisekarte

We called in Tofurei a couple of days ago with our friends three dogs. We asked if it was ok. They didn’t even bat an eyelid Sure, come in, would you like some water and some biscuits for the dogs etc?? Excellent!! And the cakes and coffee matched too! Lovely place, lovely staff, lovely attitude. We will be back

Fantastic choice of savoury and sweet vegan produce, as featured on The Hairy Bikers program. This restaurant has moved tow minuets away to much bigger premises in St Gregory’s Alley , just down the side of the church. Also caters for gluten free. Freshest produce, using soya beans grown only 11 miles away. Definitely worth a visit!

Walked past this place by accident and so glad we did! Had a lovely lunch here: sushi bowl, orzo bowl and a pasty were shared and enjoyed by all. I think this is genuinely the best tofu I have ever eaten, my non-vegan partner commented how much he had enjoyed it too so we will definitely be ordering some from the website once we get home from our holiday. Visited here for lunch with a new friend as I had heard good things about this venue. Was easily able to book a table through Facebook messenger. We were spoilt for choice with the various delicious looking vegan options available. We both had a tofu rice dish that was really good and tasty. Really loved all the animal art on the walls, especially of the pigeons. The food, atmosphere and staff were all wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate in returning to this lovely little Norwich gem.

So disappointed with this vegan shop since they moved from Pottergate. When I went today they were closed the opening hours on the door says Tuesdays Wild card whats that all about then? either they are open or they are not and customers need to know. The past few times they have not had the lovely sage and onion sausage rolls I used to enjoy and I still haven't been able to try the new jaffa cake pie I understand they have had. The food is excellent when you can get it but its not cheap.

I came here twice during an overnight stay to Norwich primarily because the cake is so good. It is quite rare to find a solely vegan cafe so after previously finding it on Google, we made a beeline for it when we got to Norwich. The golden Oreo cake was as near to perfection as I have found and the biscoff brownie I had today was pretty damn good too. The staff member we spoke to was helpful and charming and the actual cafe was very well looked after. This place is a gem. Can’t wait to come again. Speisekarte ansehen

This cafe is very central and well located for the city centre and cathedral. There are two small tables outside. Upstairs is a large and airy seating area with lots of lovely house plants. The mural of birds, house plants, and wooden furniture give it a really nice atmosphere. There is no intrusive background music so its easy to chat to friends. The tables are well spaced out. The food focuses on tofu and on our visit included sandwiches and a rice salad bowl. Service was all prompt and friendly.

Looking to grab some takeaway lunch as I had heard about this place a lot, though I went a bit late in the day and could only grab the tofu-masala pasty, which was pretty good when heated up the next day, but not something I would pick again. However I would recommend trying out their own house made tofu, I bought some of the maple tofu and that is absolutely delicious when grilled! I had some in a sandwich with tomatoes and vegan mayo and it was amazing! If I came back (unfortunately am not local), I would love to try out their sandwiches, but if you get there too late, do make sure to take some tofu back with you!

Norwich has several eateries catering for Vegan diets and so we were spoilt for choice during our stay, however the food at Tofurei stood out for us when we stopped by for lunch. The tofu sushi was particularly good and we also really enjoyed the sweet and sour lunch on offer, unfortunately there were a couple of items on the menu that were unavailable and we did feel for the delightful young lady from Leeds, who was working her socks off as she appeared to be alone during our visit and was constantly running up and down the stairs trying to keep up.
