I love Tom Bell's fish and chips, cooked fresh, and not full of oil.

Worst fish and chips iv had. over priced greasy food and was all over cooked

The quality of food in this place has gone down considerably. Batter on fish is far to thick, pies are heated up in microwave and therefore pastry is soggy, fillings are non existent .

First time ordering from here yesterday. We had the cod and chips. The fish tasted really good and wasn't greasy at all. The chips were super tasty too. Portions are quiet good. Staff are extremely polite. Would definitely recommend this place.

Enjoyed a very pleasant evening with friends. An unpretentious restaurant where the staff delivered excellent customer service and the fish and chips were beautifully cooked. It's so nice to go somewhere which exceeds expectations rather than disappoints. Thank you

I must have gone on an 'off ' night. The fish was well cooked but only just warm. The chips....ive never tasted anything like it....luke warm and very very dry...almost like cardboard. I had heard good things about this shop and i try not to post negative reviews but i will need a bit more convincing before i try their chips again.

Asked for chips and gravy and ended up with chips in a paper bag with a carton of gravy! Asked for a tray but they didn’t have any and he wouldn’t let me sit in the dining area! How am I supposed to eat that in a car?? Complete wast of my hard earned money and the guy behind counter was rude and not helpful at all. Didn't even eat the food and would not go back.

As long time residents we rate this shop highly. All the food is high quality and prepared to order. Chips are really good. Chunky style and cooked perfectly never greasy or soggy. Calamari is reconstituted filling which may not be to everyone's taste but like everything else is cooked well and tasty and is really popular. Vegan and gluten free catered for really well. The only reason it's not five stars is because it's cash only. I'm a fan of cashless. Cash only dealing? I always wonder why?
