Had the best experience of my life eating the culatello di Zibello (special prosciutto di Parma). I also tasted the regular prosciutto di Parma that is known all over the wold but it is different and less tastier..

Amazing experience, you can really breath the true authentic italian food experience. The restaurant furniture is traditional from the 80’s, all the food is handmade by the Vernizzi, and prepared with love and passion. The surprise was the bill, so cheap. Toilet clean and friendly staff 5 stars are not enough

Trattoria Vernizzi is one of these places lost in time. Once you enter in their old building, you feel like the clock is stopping at all. In Emilia Romagna, capital of Slow Food, Vernizzi is the fixed point around which the clock hands are supposed to move. The location, the service, the food, they all match the same values: quality, humility, intensity. For me it's getting a ritual to visit this place whenever I'm back to Italy on holidays. Here I find that dimension of peace and familiarity that makes every lunch with friends pleasantly unique.

Visiting i luoghi Verdiani Busseto and Sant 'Agata, we came across this little restaurant in the nearby village of Frescarolo. What a pleasant surprise and well worth the few km drive. For lunch, come early, as it filled up with locals and tourists alike. There was no menu, so we stuck to the waitresses recommmendations: Piatto di prosciutto e salame, pasta, anatra e faraona al forno con patatine, insalata, vino Lambrusco della casa, acqua, caffè, digestivo, pane e coperto (all for two). Everything prepared fresh and of excellent quality. Total: € 50 ! What more can you say! We will definitely come again! Speisekarte ansehen
