Twentyone Cafe Kitchen

This was a chance encounter when looking for a place to have lunch. The meal was excellent and the service friendly and swift.

Very nice Coffee place in this historical Location. Can't think of a place with better Views in the old town. Very tasty coffee and friendly service.

Lovely coffees, really enjoyed my mocha. The market place was closed off so it was a lovely place to sit outside. Table service and friendly waitress.

Seemed like a nice place but it was so busy that we were waiting a long while. And our order got rather mixed up on the chaos to be fair to them I think they were unfortunately understaffed. Good choice and nice to be able to sit outside but I'd probably only go back if it was a lot less busy.

Great cafe for a snack or main meal in an ideal location near the cathedral and grounds. lovely ambience outside in the market area. Grab a table early as it is a busy location. Special mention to the service that although were possibly short of staff, were coping the best they could. Recommend.

Good spot outside to watch the bustle on the square. A little slow, but portions were admirable and food well-received. Ample and tasty mozz tomato salad and an unusually good burger which felt wholesome, held its form well, and had a nice Italian seasoning twist. Chips had a certain authentic French frites “je ne sais quoi”.

The cafe is lovely, the food wonderful, the coffee is perfect, except some full fat milk would be wonderful. For me the problem at this lovely cafe is some of the 60 plus all female clientele. Sexists and insensitive. Seem to not be keen on men. Other than that love the place, pity about the over privileged, wealthy, uncouth patrons with sad husbands at home, ever hopeful.

We stayed in Wells for the Jubilee celebrations and found this gem while walking through to the Bishops Palace at the top of the market square. Initially just went for a drink and then returned later for dinner and then the next morning for breakfast. One each occasion we had good service and the staff seemed happy and engaged with the customers. I had the mushroom cabanara which was excellent and my companions a pizza. The pasta was the best I had tasted outside Italy. Breakfast was a full English made with tasty products. We don't visit Wells much but will definitely return to 21.

From the moment i entered i was nicely welcomed and was told it was waiter service. I was shown upstairs, my drink order was taken and, when the drink arrived my food order (roast pork very nice) was taken. After about 10 minutes, the roast arrived and i took about 12 minutes to eat it. I then waited over 25 minutes for any further action: other people's orders were taken, no effort to take my dirty plate as the waiter [different from the original one]. After 30 minutes i had to stop the petite waiter and ask if i could have a dessert please; once my order was taken, normal service was resumed.
