"I always receive a warm welcome at this restaurant. The staff is friendly and personal, and my friend loves to bring his dog along, which is never a problem—there are even dog treats available! The meals are consistently good, especially the daily specials. The only downside is that there can occasionally be an unusual odor, which I suspect might come from a blocked sink or something similar, but this is quite rare. Additionally, there are beautiful walks nearby to enjoy after your meal."

"I'll start with the positives. The staff were very attentive and the pub was very clean. However, there were a few negatives. I booked Sunday lunch here based on a recommendation from the OpenTable app as a family-friendly pub. Unfortunately, my family of 4 children were seated next to two tables of rowdy and foul-mouthed young men. The portion sizes were decent but the food was overpriced for the quality. Each dish had something wrong with it, such as reheated mash, undercooked pastry, slimy mushrooms, and dry/burnt brownies. The price of drinks, particularly cola, was also quite high. I was also disappointed to see that the service charge added to the bill was over 10%. While I always tip between 10-25%, I don't appreciate being told how much to tip, especially when I wasn't impressed with the meal. In conclusion, I will not be returning to or recommending this venue."

"i was so looking forward to going to celebrate my friends the restaurant had put a few sprinkles on the table and they did do macaroons with candles in and a note in chocolate of happy birthday but shame my friend didnt get a free glass of bubbly when there was of us and we were spending quite a lot of money! the food was very nice apart from my sirloin steak which had a big bit of gristle through it and lots of fat. i didn't want to complain during the meal as didn't want to cause a fuss for my friend. however i did tell the waiter when he collected plate and he said he would tell the chef but i didnt get offered any discount or a free dessert or even a free coffee which i felt was a shame"

"I’ve visited The Pheasant several times, and I’ve been impressed every time. My most recent visit was with my team from work, and with ten of us there, everyone had a fantastic evening. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was served promptly, and everyone commented on how delicious it was. They also offer a great selection of alcoholic beverages to suit all tastes. Additionally, there's a spacious outdoor seating area, but it tends to get quite busy in nice weather, so it’s best to make a reservation in advance."
