I went here for a conference. I did not stay in a room. The hotel is visible from a long way off, but getting into the car park was difficult. Some signs would have been helpful. The conference venue was large, comfortable, and well laid out. The refreshments were very good plentyful, and discreet staff kept it all topped up. A hot lunch of a veggie skewer or lamb kofta was provided with pitta bread and a tomato salad. Great if you like tomatoes! Unfortunately I don't. The venue was spacious and welcoming. Unhelpful staff. Duty manager wouldn’t tell us where we could access any drinks in the vicinity (as the bar was closed). Impersonal check in. If you like high tech and do not expect basic human decency this is the hotel for you. Rooms: Comfortable beds charging units for phones. Clever darkening glass for privacy in the bathroom. Walls are in your face bright bold hard and angular v shapes NOT conducive to a good nights sleep! Food drinks: Bar closes at 11 even for residents. They don’t advertise this fact. APPALLING SERVICE After explaining a medical emergency for reason to move room management point blank refused to move or credit note the reservation. To top it off, the staff member was extremely rude and dismissive, after leaving me on hold for OVER 30 minutes(how can discussing this take so long? The lady I spoke to refused to give her name. Being a previous employee and loyal customer to the village Hotel Leisure, can guarantee I will never use their services again. Will be cancelling my gym membership as soon as I’m back to Manchester. We came to Village Hotel pub and grill to watch a football match and have some food. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Service was quick even though it was super busy! There are multiple big screens showing sports, so wherever you're sitting, you get a good view, even when busy. The food was reasonably priced and huge portions. Overall, we really enjoyed our evening out here! Food drinks: The food at the grill was a decent price for the size of the portions. We had the gourmet burger and it was huge, but really tasty.
