You'd never guess there's such a charming restaurant when looking at the outside, you need to go downstairs and there it is so lovely, white, candles, cozy. We just loved it from the moment we came in. And the food was really good. We all had different fish dishes and then desserts which were all exceptional. The service was also good and the place is very local, we were the only tourists there I think. I'd go back for sure.

I booked a table for six people using their internet system.more than a week ago. I received a confirmation (see photo) .We arrived at the restaurant on time for a birthday party ,our friend was turning 70 and we were rudely told that the reservation was cancelled two days before and they showed us the email that was sent to us and not received, but not even a phone call that would have saved 15 euro of a taxi fare. The restaurant was full and so we had to leave and look somewhere else to eat. Be aware!!!

El nombre proviene del pueblo palentino del que es originario el restaurante, tienen el restaurante del hotel Estrella del Bajo Carrión en dicha localidad, y esta es su sucursal madrileña, en pleno barrio de Salamanca. Se trata de cocina tradicional, destacan las croquetas, los tigres, hay bastantes raciones de las que se puede pedir media ración, una de las especialidades de la casa son las alubias blancas, también destaca el cochinillo y los postres caseros.
