"During our visit, we opted for the carvery, and it was a choice well made. From the moment we entered, the ambiance was inviting. The pub is set in a scenic location by the water, which adds to its charm. The interior is cozy, with a blend of rustic and modern decor that creates a comfortable atmosphere suitable for both family meals and casual gatherings. The carvery itself was a highlight. The selection of meats was impressive, with succulent cuts of turkey, beef, and gammon available. Each was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavour. The staff at the carving station were friendly and generous with the portions, making sure we had our fill of whichever meats we preferred. The variety of sides was equally pleasing. There were plenty of freshly cooked vegetables, including crispy roast potatoes, fluffy mashed potatoes, and a selection of seasonal vegetables. The Yorkshire puddings were large and airy, providing the perfect vessel for the rich, savoury gravy that was available in abundance. For those who enjoy their sauces, there were plenty of options. The service throughout our visit was attentive and efficient, with the staff ensuring that our needs were met without being intrusive. Despite being busy, the pub maintained a relaxed pace, allowing us to enjoy our meal at leisure. Food and service was fantastic. Great little pub. My only issue was the play area was slowly falling to bits and could do with a revamp.

Came here for a roast dinner booked in advance got there and seen food but they refused to serve us as there was “none left” There was nothing on the website stating first come first serve or a time the carvery wouldn’t be serving!!! I travelled some distance to come here. Won’t be coming again!

We had really lovely carvery with all the trimmings and unusually for a carvery mashed potato and boiled potatoes as well as roasties.... The homemade Yorkshire pudding is really nice... We shared a couple of the desserts between us. The chocolate and toffee bar and sundae desserts were really nice!
