Lovely little village pub great to recharge the batteries of two weary salesman.Best 30 mins of the day.

Lovely fish and chips. The sticky toffee pudding was brilliant and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good meal (fish chips) and good service. Sat outside for our pre-meal drink, and had a nice walk down the neighbouring lane afterwards. Very nice afternoon out. Speisekarte ansehen

The location is quite nice, situated away from the busy main street, which is great for families since there’s a children's area and minimal traffic. The food and drinks are reasonably priced as well.

We hired a room at the Whalebone recently for a lunchtime buffet. Our event was of a very emotional nature and the staff were respectful of this. The food was excellent, there was plenty for everybody and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely recommend. Thanks Lee, you’ve got a great team there!

Came in for dinner with my family of 4, and the chef popped out as I ordered drinks and the bar, he saw I had a food menu, huffed and complained that he was just about to close the kitchen. Didn't fancy rush job food from a bloke that couldn't be bothered so walked round the corner to Shaw's farm and had a lovley meal there instead Speisekarte ansehen

I had a fantastic experience with the cod and chips! My father and his girlfriend ordered the lamb on the bone from the specials board, and it was delicious. The food was delightful, and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. It wasn't too crowded, probably due to the hot weather. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10!

The adults in our group placed their orders around 12:30 PM, but our main courses didn’t arrive until 1:40 PM. What really upset us was that the child's meal, which we ordered shortly after 12 PM, didn't come out until most of us had already finished eating. As for the food, it was adequate—neither remarkable nor terrible. However, the atmosphere is quite chaotic, as it's a busy pub filled with groups of guys enjoying beers and watching football matches. I wouldn’t recommend it for a family meal.

Booked a table for 4 last night, arrived and was greeted by the owner who had explained that he had tried contacting me a couple of times which I hadn't noticed. This was due to the kitchen having to to close early. We decided to stay for a drink, was shown to a table and to our surprise the lovely owners decide to cook our meals themselves. What a wonderful gesture and wasn't disappointed. We were made very welcome by all the staff and the food was great. Thank you again, we will certainly be back again. Speisekarte ansehen
