Once again the chef has surpassed himself with tonight's dinner. The belly pork was so succulent and tender. There was an explosion of flavours. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Thank you

Visited yesterday for Sunday lunch. It was busy but didn't have to wait too long. We both had roast beef and it was fantastic. Lots of fresh veg and loads of beef. It is always a fantastic atmosphere in there. Highly recommend

The place was busy for 7pm on a Friday. Great atmosphere. We had tapas from a specials menu. Very reasonably priced, large portions and it was delicious. Bar staff friendly and helpful. There was a good range of beers all reasonably priced.

Sat 2nd march myself John wife Lynn and our family arrived at the stag for a nice get together and hopefully nice lunch. We absolutely loved the food. I have a gluten intolerance but was made very welcome with the lager sold and food that was available. The rump steak I had was top notch. All my family thurolly enjoyed there food also. Be back there soon .

The places is falling apart (chairs, tables, outside area, all staff are drinking on shift, no one seems to know what’s going on, fag ends all over the floor, staff taking to each other with no respect, tables dirty. Music to loud in the kitchen, kitchen also looks dirty when passing. Will not be returning! Also not child friendly or accessible for the disabled

Me and my husband ate at the Stag last week. We've never been before and we were very impressed. The food was incredible, my steak was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was SO tasty. My husband's meal was just as good. Our waitress was lovely, she took the time to tell us about some of the menu options. Would recommend we'll definitely be coming back!

Saw the recent review of the roasts so booked a table for Easter Sunday. Took the dogs and sat outside in the booths. Tried the roast chicken dinner and it was delicious. The gravy is the nicest gravy I’ve ever tasted. The chicken was succulent, the roasties were spot on and the veg was perfectly cooked. The rest of the family tried the burgers which were also top notch. Will be returning for sure. Very impressed.

We got lucky and managed to book for a table of 6 for Mother’s Day the day before. Upon arrival we were shown to a nice table in the middle of the main bar area. The manager came and took our order, I didn’t catch his name but he was so lovely and waited on us perfectly. Three of our party had the cheese pie, the rest of us had the halloumi burger, halloumi fish and chips and regular fish and chips. All the food was delicious, very generous portions but without being over facing. The table we had was quite close to the door but throughout the meal the pub was very warm and comfortable. As we were leaving the manager was chatting to us and as we hadn’t been before, he told us to have a look a...
