Fish and chips are nice, but staff just rude, and by looking at the reviews, I’m not the only one : Sadly, this chippy has no competition so they can get away with it

This is the best fish and chips my fiancé and I have ever had. The batter was perfectly crisp, not oily or soggy at all. Perfectly cooked fish. Kind and communicative staff.

Young girl on the till is very abrupt and rude and makes you feel like an inconvenience, such a shame as the food is always lovely but we will avoid in future if the same young lady is serving. Speisekarte ansehen

Average! After waiting for the best part of an hour for 2 x cod chips we were sadly disappointed! Chips were over cooked and very bland. Fish was okay however cooked in waaaaay too much batter! Portion size was pretty decent, but overall, it was not worth the wait or the £30+ spent for a chippy tea!

20 mins spent queuing for order to be taken. 60 mins then spent waiting for order! Poor communication between counter staff and the one guy frying. Clearly could not cope with demand and volume of customers. Having visited fish and chips shops with a higher volume of customers, I’m not sure why it was taking so long for orders to be fulfilled.

We wanted chips and a curry sauce. TERRIBLE. The chips were made of bits and pieces with a lot of eyes, They must have been out of the fryer some time as the were just warm YUK. The curry sauce was in a tiny pot and was just a watery substance that barely stuck to the chips The single portion was £5.50 the most expensive ever bought never again. Stopped here for a quick tea on the way back from the beach, after a 20min wait for Chips and batter sausages, we were annoyed on opening the bag on arrival home that the sausages were not present, if you can fail at ensuring there’s a sausage in the wrapping of the food then fair play i would guess this same person still asks mum to tie their laces. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE- Chips we’re dry too

Long wait, very disorganised. I don’t know what they are doing in there . Staff wandering around instead of just getting on with it and bagging up the orders. They took the orders quickly enough, then you have to stand on the road and wait for your order. I’m not sure exactly why, they are frying the fish and chips so why not get on and serve it?! The service was SO SLOW and the staff were apathetic and uninterested. Fish and chips ok once we got it. Next time we will buy take away from the Captains Table.

We were staying about 50m from this takeaway and had fish and chips one evening. Not the best I have ever had but certainly not the worst. Good fish and batter and a sensible amount of chips. The method of ordering was a bit chaotic; you order at the till and there is a gaggle of people standing in the road outside waiting for the order number to be called. When it is busy it looks difficult to see where the ordering line from the people waiting for collection. I suspect you could be there for quite a while not knowing which line you are in Speisekarte ansehen
