"Beautiful tea room, friendly service and what they had on offer was absolutely top notch. Would definitely give 5* but they were on a reduced menu so there was only one item for someone with dairy allergies (and none for vegans) which was the reason we'd gone because they'd gotten great reviews for their vegan options. "Good pub grub, not too expensive, and no airs or graces, nice range of beers and some interesting ciders. Locals all friendly. Staff on duty were all helpful and attentive even when the pub was busy. Lots of smallish rooms, and a big garden. The football, Liverpool TV Chanel, was on in the room we ate in, the volume wasn’t loud, so it didn’t disturb those weren’t interested but just load enough for those who were. A nice compromise. Other rooms don’t have the TV so you can always try and get a table there. Speaking of getting a table, they don’t take bookings, so it is first come first served."

"the menu was not extensive, but I understand that this is their summer menu. I had the steak and it is a nice juicy piece that was not grilled but cooked on the bbq. I asked about medium rare and this is what I got nice the mixed grill was hugely saw one of the other customers it have. my friends all enjoyed what they ordered..Fish and chips, burger, jäger huh etc. You can leave the choice of the wein. could get better labels for the weinkers. nice large beer garden and friendly staff but otherwise no complaining go back."

"The staff were nice but the place was alot smaller than the pictures show. We were a table of 6, we were seated right Infront of the bar which people then tried ordering over the table. We all had roast but none of it was very nice. The roast pork was very tough and dry as was the beef. The roast potatoes were hard and didn't seem like they'd seen an oven. Gravy was already on the food when it came out so you didn't get a choice whether you wanted it or not. My mother had the baileys cheesecake for afters but it had no biscuit base. I think you could find somewhere a bit nicer for the price."

"I stopped by the restaurant last night for a drink around 9:05pm. The person who seemed to be the manager informed us that they were closing at 10pm. We went to the bar where a staff member, without any greeting or politeness, told us we could only have one drink. When we mentioned what the manager had told us about being able to have drinks until closing time, the bartender abruptly stated that he had already shut down the pumps. Despite this, he eventually poured our drinks. At 9:40pm, he came out to the garden and told us we had 3 minutes to finish up and leave. We observed that there was still another table with patrons outside, but we decided to leave via the pub. Upon reaching the front door, we found it bolted from the inside, which is a safety issue according to fire regulations. It seems like the management decisions and behavior of the bartender are deterring customers, especially since the establishment closes at 10pm. It appears as though the bartender would be better suited for a nightclub rather than a village pub where manners are expected. Overall, it seems like the establishment is not making the best choices in terms of customer service."
