"Excellent lunch. I visited alone but felt completely comfortable. The atmosphere was welcoming and peaceful, a relaxing place for an older woman to take herself off to lunch when she lives by herself. I ordered the scamp and chips which were delicious as was the coffee. I even ordered a dessert which is unusual for me: bread and butter pudding with custard. It tasted homemade although I know it wasn't. However, it was absolutely delicious. Full marks to Y Dic Penderyn in Merthyr Tydfil. True to its heritage, Y Dic Penderyn offered a truly Welsh options' menu which was well thought out. For other diners, you can choose from a Vegan/Vegetarian menu, a gluten free menu, as well as a choice of other menus as shown in one of my photos. Truly, all customers' tastes catered for."

Breakfast. Toast was just warm bread. Food was cold especially the baked beans! Coffee in machines came out luke warm. Tried another machine just the same. Won't go there again!

We came in for drinks about 10pm Saturday night. Tables full of used glasses,plates and empty seats. Cleaned my own table and still by the time had 3 drinks the tables were still not cleared .

Good food. They also have menu with traditional wales food and drink. Quick service. Clean place and friendly staff members. They also serve breakfast until 12:00 and free tea/ coffee refill. Hight variety of food

Food was very delicious. But the top gun was Christos. He made our dinner like at friends house. Very nice, friendly, charming, funny and perfect person for such a kind of business. You definitely want to come back to this place :

I'm a regular customer here as everytime I go to Caerphilly I come here to eat. Never had any problems with food or staff. If you do encounter an issue the staff go ubove and beyond to make sure its resolved as quickly as possible.

Absolutely shocking service in here. We visited on a Saturday LUNCHTIME! And weren't even sat a few minutes before being told they had no chips, and most of the menu was unavailable!! On a Saturday?!! Staff weren't exactly nice about it either! They didn't even apologize. What the hell is going on?

Really nice food and the lady who walks the floor is fantastic very polite and nothing is to much trouble for her she needs recognition for the job she does unfortunately I didn't get her name but she's always there,a short lady with dark hair its nice to go there when u got such a warm welcome lovely lady x

large place, clean with for provisions for social distancing. take service works well, eating arrived quickly and we have with a good portion. friendly and helpful staff provide a fast and efficient service. the gents was very clean and kept on a high standard. I just dropped a star as there was no mayonnaise and my sharp pizza came near feat without rocket, except that everything was very good. I would certainly recommend eating and drinking here if in the opposite.
