"My partner and I visited Aberdarron and favoured a coffee after looking around the small village. We went into Y Gign Fawr and ordered a Mocha and an Americano. I wouldn 't say I 'm a coffianado but I love the aroma and deep taste of coffee. My coffee looked like tea and didn 't smell of anything. I could not smell a bean of coffee. I took a sip and I could not taste any coffee. It was literally hot tasteless liquid. I called the waitress over and informed her I didn 't liked my drink and wanted a refund. So she took my drink away and 'the manager ' who served me came over with the £2.50 I paid, put it on the table and she said I was the only person who had ever complained about their locally roasted coffee and stormed off. The customer service was appalling on top of the worst coffee I 'd ever been served. If that is how 'the manager ' behaves, when a customer complaints, she obviously needs training. I should add that my partner 's Mocha was not a Mocha. It was a hot powdery very sweet chocolate drink. Again, not a hint of coffee could we taste. My partner could not drink her 'Mocha ' and so we both left in disgust. I could not possibly recommend this place run by amateurs."

Lovely cafe in a fascinating historical building. We all enjoyed our lunches which were plentiful and good quality. The Victoria sandwich looked too good to resist!

Sit inside or out, dog friendly, the menu has something to suit most people’s requirements at a reasonable cost. The service and quality of food is quite good. Recommended.

Just being in this little old cafe is an experience, it radiates history in every stone. Cheerful friendly service and a good selection of food and drink. It is a joy to sit outside and watch the world go by.

had breakfast for the first time since the new owners have taken over. quality has improved and the welsh breakfast was one of the best we have had on the Llyn. service was good. unlike the bakery it is still possible to pay by cash which is a bonus. Speisekarte ansehen

Popped in this morning with my friend who came to visit me in Pwllheli and wanted to show her beautiful Wales so we came down to Aberdaron which was super sunny but blowing a gail!! The location of this cafe meant we were in the sheltered sun trap so had a lovely bask in the sun with our breakfast baps and cappuccinos! My only suggestion would be to have some gluten free bread in the freezer and maybe some dairy free milk but I do understand being in such a remote location there may not be a massive call for it.... Service was prompt and friendly, I will defo be back :

This quaint cafe in Aberdaron is a hidden gem. We decided to stop in for lunch on a whim while exploring the village. The sandwich was delicious and the coffee, although not as hot as I prefer, was still good. We enjoyed sitting upstairs in the eaves, despite being the only ones up there. The unique outhouse toilet was a bit hot and had a dripping cistern, but it added to the charm of the place. The stairs are steep and the ceilings low, so be cautious. Overall, I wouldn't make a special trip to Aberdaron just for this cafe, but if you find yourself in the area, it's worth a visit.

I was looking for a vegetarian cooked breakfast, but was told that the restaurant only served meat breakfasts. Instead, we were given the option of scrambled eggs on toast or fried eggs, with baked beans and/or tomatoes. Unfortunately, mushrooms and hash browns were not available. The scrambled eggs lacked flavor and the toast was dry and tasteless. The beans lacked flavor as well. The fried eggs were cooked unevenly, with one being overdone and the other underdone. The coffee tasted like it had been sitting for hours. It seemed like the restaurant didn't put much effort into their food, especially since they only catered to tourists. Speisekarte ansehen

We called in after a breezy walk on the beach, the place was sheltered from the wind and we were all looking forward to a coffee and cake. We ordered 2 Americano’s and a traybake brownie. The coffees arrived and straight away I thought they looked weak, they looked more like tea than coffee. Added a splash of milk and they were so pale. Tasted it and it didn’t even taste of coffee, like a pale brown tasteless liquid!! Then the tray bake for some reason (without asking) was heated up in the microwave, so ended up a bit soggy! Who does this?? Overall it was really disappointing, I didn’t drink my coffee and left most of the brownie. We went and got a coffee elsewhere on the way back. Such a sh...

While we have had pleasant experiences dining at this cafe in the past, our recent visit left much to be desired. We were seated inside at the top of a set of rickety old wooden stairs due to the closure of the outdoor patio. The limited headroom and lack of condiments, cutlery, and basic table settings was disappointing. When we inquired about cutlery, we were informed that we had to retrieve it ourselves from downstairs. The lattes were served with a long spoon but no saucer, and there was no sugar available on the tables. The food was average at best, with the jacket potato being notably small and the side salad consisting of meager portions of bland, poorly prepared ingredients. While re...
