"Es la segunda vez que íbamos, la primera fue hace ya por lo menos 3 años. Los manteles y servilletas ya no son de tela, la decoración seguía siendo la misma. el servicio de camareros bastante despistados se olvidaron de algún entrante y confundieron dos platos de carne. El T-Bone venia ya partido en trozos separados en el plato y repartidos por todo el plato ¿Se correspondían a la pieza entera o eran algunos menos? ¿Que era lomo y que solomillo? Jamas me imaginaba que sucedería esto. ¿Ha quien y porque se le ocurre? era vuelta y vuelta no cabe escusa de hacerlo para conocer el punto de la carne.... Decepción, No volvemos"

"Fuimos un poco motivados por las opiniones, y menudo ostiazo nos dimos. Y esto que contare a continuacion es mi opinión personal y lo que yo he vivido. El local en sí es bonito, un híbrido entre pub irlandés y un local tipo fosters. El personal muy majo y atento, pero lentos hasta decir basta, me dieron ganas de pasar a ponerme yo las cosas. Mi mujer y yo entramos a las 15.00 con mesa reservada, salimos de allí a las 17.15. Tardaron en atendernos, en traer las cosas. La sopa castellana hecha con un huevo frito tenia hasta puntillas) y la sopa era pimentón con agua. Los croqetones, era una masa apelmazada que no te dejaba saborear nada. Las costillas a la barbacoa que me pedí yo no habían visto la salsa barbacoa ni por foto. El chuleton de mi mujer estaba aceptable, las patatas a medio freír y frias. Los postres si que estaban ricos. En fin un sitio que no tengo intención de volver. No se que paso puesto que tiene buenas opiniones de otras personas, pero yo me fui con sensacio de haber pagado por algo que no merecia la pena."

"After an almost buried afternoon looking for a place to eat in avila (almost everyone told me that avila is not the ideal place to escape to eat), I finally decided that this would be our destiny. I mean the Iberian prey to the grill. of the richest meats I've ever tasted, really, excellent, if you go with friends than at least 1 of them asks. Then I'll tell you the rest of the dishes we order, but first I'll tell you about the restaurant's extra-murs enclave. from two of so tables (I would ask you to book) you have excellent views of the walls. to access the restaurant you have to go through a small bridge that crosses the adaja river, point in favor as it adds a little more charm to the site. from incoming we taste the pot chorizo (riquísimo but eye, do not pass that is strong), peppers, confitado de piquillo de lodosa and a very good salad (look at the photo of the menu, there are a few very delicious). of all of them would highlight the peppers, without doubt. "The garlic prawns were recommended .... and they didn't disappoint ! They do have an English menu just ask ! I was hungry and forgot to take a picture .... but the serving was generous and delicious !! The (couple of) red bits are chilli .. watch out ! I avoided them ... but a friend inadvertently ate one ....... crying hot apparently ! The bread was hard ... but OK if you soaked it in the delicious garlic oil ! One of our party was gluten free .... they have gluten free bread .... his bread was soft ! The waitress who could speak English was delightful and full of character !"

"Estuvimos de paso por Ávila y buscamos un restaurante para comer, encontramos Restaurante Corral . Entramos y estaba lleno, nos atendió Claudia, fué muy amable y preparó una mesa en mints!¡ Después para nuestra sorpresa los menús que se ofrecían son de gran variedad y al probar los primeros platos nos encantó. Muy bien cocinados, comida casera de calidad y servidos con gran amabilidad. Todo riquísimo!! Muchas gracias por atendernos tan bien Claudia y la comida tan rica!! Lo recomiendo 100×100!!"

"We were lucky to be there during the weekend when they had the medieval festival. The restaurant is nicely located by the walled old town. The place was very busy that lunch time but the waiters tried their best to be fast with their service. We had for our main course the beef cheek with red fruit sauce and potatoes. It was so good. Tender that it practically melts in your mouth. One of us loved the potatoes that she told the waiter about it. The waiter after serving everyone in our group came back and gave her an extra plate. That was totally unexpected but much appreciated. Nice gesture ... kudos to that!"

"neighborhood bar with traditional meson decoration. has few tables and some on the street. They have many snacks and allow you to choose. Good lunch there. They have 3 menus, one for burger lovers, another for those who want to spend more and another 18€ that was the one we chose. good quality, great quantity and well cooked. I love them. squirrels with chorizo and ear were very good and had a touch also spicy and blunt. the salmon cake with tomato and melon delicious and much more adapting to eat in July. the veal was very good, the carillas are undone and it is better to take them with a spoon. but the cod loins to garlic and oil were simply delicious. Best of all. I recommend cheesecake. all desserts are homemade and rice with milk and apple pie are also very good. the place is very central and the deal is polite and friendly. We were very happy, then we went back to a coffee and we were a drop."

"We ate here twice on our visit to the beautiful old city of Avila. A very nice evening meal and a lunch on our last day. We loved it here. Lovely people ,good food and a great House Red. "Restaurante cerca del campo de golf de la ciudad. Ubicado en un ambiente campestre en un complejo con hotel y hostal y repleto de actividades al aire libre, como la equitación por ejemplo. El lugar es bonito y lo tienen realmente bien cuidado. Fuimos en la epoca de buen tiempo y la terraza era espectacular. El día que fuimos nos encontramos con un concierto de un grupo local (los organizan una vez por semana durante el verano). La comida estaba muy rica. Estilo americano con burgers, nachos, tacos, etc, mezclados con algunos platos mas traduccionales (no se si para comer tienen carta diferente). Pedinos para compartir entre cuatro. Raciones generosas. Dejan tener mascota en la terraza y en el hotel también. Dentro no lo preguntamos. Repetiremos antes o después"

"The restaurant is situated very near to the famous view point The four posts Cuatro postes . The atmosphere was a little bit odd: old beautiful stone wall and plastic Coca-cola chairs. We ate lunch and my husband chose thin veal stake anf french fries and that was okay. My choice wasn 't so succesful: trout with ham and the salad for both of us. The salad wasn 't very fresh, tomatoes were raw and asparagus was from the can while it is now season time for fresh ones. My trout tasted odd and was full of small boans. The ham wasn 't any better. The service was friendly and they had a menu also in english. The view was good, because you could see the town of Avila and its famous walls. But if you prefer good food and have a chance to choose, so pick another restaurant. Kahden hengen salaatti ei ollut houkutteleva: salaatit olivat ruskettuneita, tomaatit olivat raakoja ja mukana oli purkkiparsaa, vaikka tuoreparsojen sesonki on parhaimmillaan. Mieheni otti lehtipihvin ja ranskalaiset ja se kuulemma oli ihan ok. Oma valintani ei osunut nappiin. Valitsin taimenta ja kinkkua enkä tyhmänä tarkistanut onko kyseessä file vai kokonainen kala. No tietysti se oli kokonainen ja täynnä pieniä ruotoja. Nekin olisi jaksanut nyppiä pois, jos maku olisi ollut hyvä. Kala ei maistunut miltään eikä suolankaan lisääminen auttanut. Jos siis arvostat hyvää ruokaa, etsi joku muu paikka."

"Llegamos a cenar y sólo estábamos nosotros pues abren de noche si tienen reserva. Quisimos irnos pero insistieron y lo que iba a ser una cena triste en un restaurante vacío fue toda una experiencia. Nos hicieron sentir muy cómodos y David, el chef, dueño junto a su mujer y padre, nos ofreció una masterclass de los tipos de carne, de su conservación, de cómo realiza una economía circular y sostenible, cómo aprendió la profesión, de dónde viene el nombre del restaurante... Además, nos preparó un plato de carpaccio de buey que estaba EXQUISITO!! El pulpo a la brasa estaba delicioso, repetiría. El chuletón añojo de ternera de Ávila estaba rico pero se quedó corto por haber probado primero el buey. Acabamos con una tarta de almendras casera y que lleva el nombre del restaurante: espectacular!! Fue una bonita experiencia y desde Gran Canaria le deseamos todo lo mejor porque poca gente conozco que tenga tanta pasión por lo que hace."

"On Calle Reyes Católicos, not far from my hotel, I stopped for breakfast at Café Fortaleza before my day of exploring. It was busy, but not crowded, and I took a seat in the window after ordering my café con leche and tostada con tomate. When the woman behind the counter called out, I went and grabbed my food, and returned to my table. The coffee was excellent, and the toast was good. I enjoy being is spots with locals, and this was a great choice."
