"Oh man, do I miss this place or what !!! ... The best thing here is the Prawns Fried Rice with Chili Garlic sauce ... With the chili oil that they make in house ... I am already hungry thinking about it. The service is fast, the portions huge, the chili oil unlimited ;D ... What's not to like ... Not to be missed ... I have been to their Greenwich, Woolwich, and Elephant Castle branches ... but the dish I like, which I have mentioned above is only available at Elephant Castle and the Woolwich branch. Hope to visit it soon ... :"

"I’m a professional woman of colour in my fifties fighting cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. During October I decided to go to this local pub for a quiet drink with my small dog. After ordering my drink at the bar, a man and woman started to verbally abuse me. The attack was completely unprovoked. The verbal abuse continued throughout my drink being made, whilst I was sat at a table. I was so scared, I didn’t get up to get my drink because I didn’t want to walk past the man and woman abusing me. The man called me a “b*tch” and a “c*nt” and the abuse continued until they left. No one spoke up or defended me throughout the attack. One member of staff eventually asked the man to “leave it”. They left when they finished their drinks and as they passed called me a “c*nt”. I didn’t say anything throughout. I am not sure if this was a racist attack or because I was a female on my own but I do know I don’t feel safe at this pub or walking past it. I have never experienced this kind of verbal abuse as an adult. It really shook me up and upset me. What was meant to be a moment of forgetting about my cancer became a really awful experience. Probably the worst thing was that no one defended me or stopped the abuse. Sending a clear signal to the abusers that this was acceptable behaviour in this pub. I live a few roads away and feel the lack of action by the staff speaks volumes. I now regularly visit Greenwich Grind where I feel really safe and looked after. I know the staff there would speak up if anyone (poc, LGBTQ etc) was attacked. I left Richard 1st in floods of tears that day. I tried to contact the management to discuss what happened but we couldn’t find a convenient time. I felt it wasn’t important to them. I will never set foot in here again."

"It's honestly rare that I get to partake in such a well presented establishment. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a waiter immediately, led to a table and presented with a menu. Now that may not seem out of the ordinary, but the waiter's eagerness to please and satisfy the customer did not go unnoticed. I gave myself a hot minute to look through the menu before I made my decision. The waiter noticed when I was done and I didn't even have to call him over. After having placed my order, I was expecting to wait a while before my drink and food arrived. I was pleasantly surprised when the drink arrived in less than ten minutes and the meal in less than twenty. I felt obligated to leave a decent tip to show my appreciation. The food was absolutely to-die-for, the flavour delicious, the texture perfect and the aroma heavenly. And the atmosphere of the restaurant made me enjoy these things all the more. At the end of the day, the bill left me speechless. Where I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg, I didn't really have to pay all that much at all! I made sure to leave the waiter a generous tip and made a mental note to bring my friends and my family along next time. A solid 10/10 experience. I would recommend anyone."

"Despite booking in advance, upon arrival we were told there was no pork or chicken roasts available, and they had run out of roast potatoes. We were offered beef roast dinners with chips. This could have all been forgiven if the veg wasn’t all overpowered with star anise and pepper! Our waitress- Deanna checked in on how the food was just seconds after we’d started to eat. A few mouthfuls in a hair was found in one of the dinners, our waitress had disappeared at this point, the barman was occupied talking to a regular and who we now know to be the manager was sat with her back to the pub on her laptop. 35 minutes passed and our dirty plates were still sat in front of us, I went to the bar to make the barman aware of the issues we’d had and requested the bill. The bill came 10 minutes later and had 12.5% service charge included! I asked for it to be removed from the bill, and for the bill to be revised, given the poor experience and hair in the dinner. Deanna then appeared after being MIA, she was nothing other than rude and argumentative! She then went to confer with her manager in open forum for us to hear. The Manager is clearly far too superior to talk to customers. After being told what to say word for word she returned to the table. We settled the bill and Deanna (unsurprisingly at this point) forgot her manners. My friend reminded her of her p&q’s to which she proceeded to shout abuse at us across the bar as we left. Awful food and even worse staff. There is as much customer care as there is chicken and pork!"

"The TripAdvisor review for Lasdun is a bit confusing as it seems to be striving to be a top destination restaurant on its own. Located within the Nat Theatre, it is part of their efforts to create a vibrant dining and drinking scene that caters not only to theatre-goers but also to others looking for a nice meal. I visited on a Saturday night in June, after the pre-theatre rush had passed. My dining companion and I enjoyed a delicious meal, and even struck up a conversation with a delightful couple from Margate at the next table, which added some liveliness to the otherwise quiet restaurant. We started with a snack and a first course of crab, followed by a piece of pollack with chips - all of which was well-prepared using quality ingredients. The service was good, and we had a nice view overlooking the river. The restaurant's design pays homage to Lasdun's South Bank architectural style, and the room itself is quite charming. Our bill came to £176 for two, including 2 white Port Tonics and a bottle of Valeriole Rose - not cheap, but worth it for the high quality of the food and the unique experience. The only downside was the lack of ambiance, but overall, this place has great potential and we look forward to returning."

"A busy and cheerful restaurant!. I love this place for what it is. Cheap and tasty food, big portions and a standard Chinese menu where you can find anything you are looking for. The service is amazingly quick but sometimes you'll have to wait on the weekends/Friday night when it gets busy. I come here most of the time I come to Greenwich and given that I commute there on an almost bi-weekly basis, is a lot. Spring rolls and spicy calamari rings are really good. I love the fresh fruit juice- it is processed instantaneously upon order. The waitress there are very friendly."

"On impulse we decided to go out for food our Friend recommended cattleya for Thai Food. We arrived to a quite dining room but we're delighted that A wide choice was available. We selected Spanish Tapas selecting brushetta that is toasted bread topped with tomatoes garlic and oli.We had Roasted Peppers Patatas Apollo that is fried potatoes with garlic mayonnaise We also added The And The Hot Mixed Platter which included patatas fritas Grilled Chorizo Jasmin Serrano Roasted Peppers also we had Jasmin Serrano that is thinly sliced cured ham. When it arrived it was just beautiful with 1 having Prosecco and 2Tiger Beers . After eating all that we had desserts Mango and Sticky Rice and it was beautiful. Our meal was very reasonable and definitely we will be back and would highly recommend a visit food is excellent."

"Went early, just as it opened around 5 before heading to the cinema on the recommendation of a friend. Lovely food, great service. The chef came out to see how we were and made it clear we could amend anything on the menu, which one of us did. He even offered to make something if we'd prefer. Food was excellent. The bruschetta were different to what I'm used to but delicious. We all had pasta every dish was great. The house red was lovely second large glass. The lemoncello ice cream really cleaned the pallet. We rolled out of there to see Andre Rieu concert at the cinema also a good worth a visit. Service just how you want it there but not fussing."

"If I could give this place some less than 1 star I would. Tiny place so many tables shoved in. Got told to go upstairs via some exceedingly steep steps. My friend and I waited for 10 minutes no one came to take our order. I ventured downstairs to get a waitress’s attention. In doing so I fell down the last 4 steps. This resulted in me falling heavily and injuring my elbow. The only person who came to my aid was another customer. Not one of the staff came to my aid, eventually I was given a piece of kitchen towel!! Was then told that a member of staff was going to get a first aid kit out the back, I can only assume this was in Nania as it never materialised. I then hobbled back upstairs asking for our order to be taken. We were then rudely told it would take a while so at this point gave up completely.Not once did anyone apologise or ask how I was.AVOID at all costs you have been warned"

"If you have an allergy, double check. Do NOT rely on the individual cake lables. Popped in for coffee and cake with my mother who has a dairy intolerance. Everything on display clearly labelled. Mum had three choices; pan au raisin, apple and raspberry cake, and chocolate and raspberry muffin. All had no milk lable on. We double checked at the till with the allergen folder. Good job. Pan au raisin and choc/rasp muffin both have dairy in. My mint hot choc with oat milk was delicious. Hot choc powder also has dairy in, but that was fine. Lovely cake. Just please be careful"

"After many excellent meals at the Trafalgar Tavern, last Sunday lunchtime was a slight disappointment because it was a bit below par. I have never seen the place so crowded however our table was ready on time and the service as attentive as ever. However, the meal was a little less excellent than usual. One friend had to send back her French Fries because they were leathery and cold (the replacements were excellent) and the taste of my roast beef was completely overwhelmed by the overpowering strength of the gravy. If we had never eaten at the Trafalgar Tavern before we would have been very happy with the meal that we had there but we had, so we were a bit disappointed. But it was a very busy day so perhaps they had some excuse."

"Met a friend who is partially deaf for lunch here. We sat side by side so she could hear me in her half good ear. Saw the reviews and we were really looking forward to it. I was half way through eating my wrap and my friend half way through eating her omelette when a waitress approached and asked if we had finished???? Confused I was then 3/4 way through eating my wrap when another waitress just took my plate without asking!! It was done so swiftly and brazenly. We asked for the desert menu and it was given begrudgingly. We decided not to order it as were uncomfortable and asked for the bill. We hadn’t been there before and weren’t aware not we’re we told that we had to pay at the till. The waitress with round glasses and an accent said “are you leaving we need the table” A reasonable question, however the manner in which it was asked was appalling. Taking into account her behaviour whilst we were at the restaurant I decided to speak with her about her disrespectful and unwelcoming manner. She didn’t care and told me to speak to her manager. All I can say is Wow, just wow definitely don’t recommend it for appalling unwelcoming service. The food however is fantastic lovely and fresh/healthy. Will be getting takeaway in future!!!! Staff need CPD training on manners and to respect your fellow human being. Kindness costs nothing"

"Food was over half an hour late; driver completely missed our block of flats and wandered off in the opposite direction, didn’t ring us at all, and didn’t show with the food for another 10 minutes. We then got a phone all from the restaurant to say that the driver was outside. We notified them that there had been no knock. We then looked outside and the driver was at a different block of flats over the road. Food was then cold when we opened it (no wonder, given how late it was and the 10 minutes outside! . Quality was okay but nothing special. I don’t think we will order again,"

"I actually only went in to have a few beers and to watch football on TV. While sitting there I noticed many people were also eating. I got up to take a walk around and looked at the food on the various tables. It looked lovely and smelt out of this world. I called for a menu. The cuisine is a mix of Nepalese and Indian. Not having ever eaten Nepalese food I ordered the 'chill chicken '. I could have easily had another portion! On another occasion I had the 'Momo '. Pastry parcels (like a dim sum) stuffed with chicken or lamb, slow cooked then friend, served with stir fry. My word!!! The menu is extensive, a lot of Asians eat there (a good sign), beer specials are often on, and I will certainly return. The problem is I want to eat what I have had before but must try other things!!"

"The average tripadvisor rating does not reflect the quality of the food I tasted, which is less than average and very bad value for money. The fact that it was a delivery does not excuse some of the issues salmon avocado roll: salmon was fine tasted fresh but the rice was a very bad sushi rice, not cooked properly, overcooked for some parts and undercooked for other...the vinegar sugar mix was not balanced properly...eatable but Itsu does a better job (I am not even going to compare it to the likes of Attari ya) Prawn tempura roll: the seaweed had a rubber/chewy texture...i do not know whether it is the quality of the seaweed or just because they put 2 layers and it sucked the oil...but it spoiled the rolls Soba and tempura: fine I cannot comment on service and other aspects but the quality of the food does not justify the price... First and probably last try, it is unliked this will become a new go to sushi place..."

We got here and I asked my waitress of we could order, her response was I can't speak English I'll get someone else'. "They fed my vegetarian boyfriend meat and never apologised. Really disgusted with the service today. My boyfriend and I ordered breakfast wraps. I eat meat and he is vegetarian so we ordered one meat, and one veggie breakfast wrap. When the waitress brought them over she said she had one veggie and one meat. We both said, he was the vegetarian and she put the food down in front of us and we started eating. Soon we realised that he had been given the meat wrap and he was immediately feeling unwell as he hasn’t consumed meat in over 10 years. We told the waitress what had happened and that we needed to leave immediately as he was about to be sick. I said we needed a refund. The staff were not keen to refund us even though their mistake made my boyfriend violently unwell for the rest of the day. NOT ONCE DID ANYONE APOLOGISE FOR THE MISTAKE. they were stone cold with us while processing the refund which was incredibly rude. We understand that mistakes can and do occasionally happen but we are both disgusted with this customer service and lack of empathy with such a serious incident."

"I hadn't intended to eat here, but it started raining so I nipped into this café that loomed up. Didn't expect much because it was very quiet, with only one other diner. I ordered the lasagna and chips, always a safe choice for me in unknown cafés. I was taken aback by the size of the lasagna when it arrived--it flowed over a big area of plate. And it tasted great--different from most lasagnas I've had, being looser and moister. Delicious, and, with the good-sized chips and garlic bread, filling and satisfying. Then what a price! £7.20! London doesn't have to be a ripoff, so long as you venture a street or two away from the main attractions--in this case, Greenwich Palace a few hundred yards down the road. Gem."

"Yet another incredible dining experience at this cafe! I absolutely adore this place. The food is amazing - generous portions, always well-prepared and delicious. Kudos to the talented chef(s) behind these fantastic dishes! The cafe's location at the top of Oxleas Meadow offers breathtaking views of the surroundings. On a clear day, the vistas stretch for miles. The staff here are exceptional - polite, professional and always so warm and welcoming. I've gotten to know Bebe, Angel, Kay and Amy, and they are all truly wonderful individuals. Rambo provides excellent service, and the chef, Memo, is top-notch. Thank you all for making my visits so enjoyable! I highly recommend this cafe, especially for their legendary Turkish breakfast, delicious omelettes, salads and kebab meat. Just fantastic! Thank you once again for the fantastic dining experience."
