"I ordered a cheeseburger pizza, wings with chips, garlic sauce, and a coke from this restaurant. Unfortunately, I had to wait an hour and a half for my food to be delivered. When it finally arrived, I was very disappointed with the quality. The pizza was lacking in flavor, with watery sauce and a reheated texture. The wings had tough skin that was difficult to chew, although the meat inside was cooked properly. The quality of the meat itself was poor, with bits that were impossible to eat. The spicy wings were not spicy at all. The chips were soggy and seemed like they had been left sitting for a while. The garlic sauce was also watered down, lacking in garlic flavor. Overall, I was shocked to see the decline in quality compared to how good this place used to be. The pricing remained the same, but the food was now horrendous."

"My takeout order was delivered on time and was a generous portion size, but unfortunately it lacked in flavor. I chose the salt and chilli box which included wings, chips, ribs, chicken balls, and spring rolls, but overall the meal was quite bland and didn't have a spicy kick. Although salt and chilli ribs and wings are some of my favorite dishes, I was disappointed with the taste of the box. The price was good, but the execution of the meal was lacking. The ribs were tough and dry, the wings were also dry, and even the spring rolls, one of my favorites, were not flavorful. I may consider trying this restaurant again in the future, but today's experience was not up to my expectations."

"Not off to a good start! Attempted to book a table for two a couple of days prior to meal, and they took no name and booking didn’t feel guaranteed. Arrived at the restaurant (10 minutes late) and our table wasn’t even ready for us, makes me wonder if they didn’t do our booking properly. Firstly, we ordered drinks, there was only 1 type of bottled beer left, but understandable as we did visit late on Wednesday night (eat out to help out scheme). Ordered a Malibu and coke also, but had to ask for another as the coke tasted flat and horrible, the coke had been sat on the side (warm) the whole time we were there. However, the second attempt was much better. Ordered poppadoms for starters, took 25minutes for ready made poppadoms to even reach our table, and we were given no napkins. Mains arrived straight after due to the fact we waited so long for poppadoms, and the saag paneer was greasy and tasteless. I had a korma which was lovely, however my partner ordered a bhuna which was okay. Waiter did his best but could tell he was very stressed due to the high volume of people. Overall, not good. Unfortunately we won’t be returning."

"I was actually looking for the chocolate string sticks, but didn't get them but purchased a gluten free salted caramel chocolate brownie and a gluten free cheesecake.. Oh boy! Totally amazing! I did not read any reviews before purchasing, but so pleased I treated myself. Just enough of a slight crispness on top to beautiful soft gooey middle. The cheesecake was popped into a lovely box to carry home safe. Thank you so much for your passion. I will be back soonest for more gluten free treats."

"visited humber Dock with friend for drinks. Booked a table online. We arrived to be told a table had not been booked but thr bouncers found us 1. We were told only 2 people at the bar at one time. We went out 4 a cog came back in and they had given our booked table to someone else. Asked a person stood at the door n he seated us some where he was rude and abrupt. Went to the bar for a drink for him to approach me and say you have to go out side and come bk In and queue for a drink I apologised as we were not told this for him to tell me you knew you had to do that mate but was really rude and told me to get out and queue even though I had been served. He also very abruptly told our partners to sit down. When questioned who he was he said the managers bloke. He was rude abrupt no customer service skills what so ever and just not an inviting person. Then the pub ran out of all cola and lemonade by 8.40pm and there was only bottle of cider and beer. The atmosphere was horrific due to the managers bloke walking round with misserable face and talking to guests like ****. We will NOT return to this pub and have told many people about our experience. 0 star rating"

"i made a large order and it was all incredible. the pizzas i ordered were all delicious and cooked to perfection, particular favourite was bbq with jalapeños on half, new fav pizza. i ordered several portions of chips and the chips from here are one of the best. i ordered a few burgers and wraps too. the wraps weren't soggy whatsoever and the burgers had a good salad and sauce ratio. overall delivery was fast and customer service was excellent, the staff was lovely. deffo my new go to takeaway"

"1st time we had a delivery from here it was cold, Greasy and looked like the delivery driver had sat on the food. The 2nd time it was much better but most of the food was still cold (Cold fries semi warm chicken). 3rd Time I thought I would give it a fair chance and visited the actual Restaurant . This Restaurant use to be a Fish restaurant before being taken over by Chicken George, the problem is the original furniture is still in place (Uncomfortable chairs, tables that are just wooden boxes) also the floor and general appearance of the place is run down and kinda jaded (The serving Area Kitchen all look new). The staff have some issues understanding English but are Friendly. Now to the Food itself: The Chicken tasted good the Fries where hot and tasty but the 3 piece meal was mostly bones and skin, ordered a milk shake and received a flavourless bottle of watery Banana Milkshake. So this was My last visit as this place has nothing on the original Chicken George (The one on Anlaby Road)."

"Been coming to pizza peepers for roughly 20 years now, and I must say its not the place it used to be. I miss the old spicy tomato breads which was dripping in tomato and garlic and steaming hot with its very own style crunchy crust, it was simply divine stood out against competitors and was well known. Not to mention the funghi burgers which were covered in a delicious mushroom sauce and was plenty of it to. Also, the red cabbage they used to have in a tray with your chips and burger, not to everyones cup of tea, I understand, but I liked this cause it was different than your other takeaways and thats what its all about in my opinion. I work away now and I used to love coming back to visit this place, but I feel as tho its just like any other now Don’t like to comment on things like this As I want local businesses to do well but I am very passionate about pizza peepers."

"I have to say the food delivered used to be quite good but sometimes hit and miss. My last order was a so called mixed kebab and I say so called as it was just diced chicken and tons of onion. Worst kebab ever!!! how...you can call that a mixed kebab is beyond me.... One thing I find very strange and let’s the service down Is the fact they have a delivery driver that doesn’t actually deliver and must be the worst delivery person I have ever come across. You receive a call from this particular delivery driver to say that he’s here, so you open the door and he’s not there. Bizarrely he’s sat in his van waiting for you to come out of your house walk down the garden and onto the road side to his van to get your takeaway. Does this every time and it’s not that he’s being over cautious about COVID or anything as previous occasions has been the same well before COVID even existed, so totally bizarre. I have now stopped ordering from Asian kitchen and won’t be using them again."

"Ordered 2 Garlic bread W/Cheese both came but all the cheese was on one side took 2 calls and 2 visits from driver to sort out. Staff were rude and unhelpful even accusing the driver of not telling them when in fact driver was stood at my door when I rang. This is the last time. "As a first-time customer, I ordered a mixed grill with nan bread and a Greek salad for takeout. Unfortunately, the mixed grill was lacking in meat and consisted mainly of cold chips with a small amount of sauce and a few pieces of salad wrapped in nan bread. The quality was subpar compared to a good Turkish kebab takeaway. The Greek salad was small and uninspiring, you could find something similar for a lower price at a supermarket. While the food was edible and served in clean containers, the staff were polite. However, if you're looking for authentic homemade Greek food, I would recommend trying elsewhere as it seemed like the shop may be supplied by a franchise with food made off-site. I cannot recommend this restaurant at the prices they are charging as it felt like a massive rip-off."

"Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. They failed to deliver our complete order initially, and when they finally did, it took an additional hour even though we were only two minutes away. We had specifically requested for the sauces to be separate from the kebab, but they disregarded our request and ended up smothering the food with the sauces, rendering it inedible as they were meant for a different meal. When we contacted them to request a replacement, they were unhelpful and we were left with no choice but to throw away the kebab. The lack of customer service and negative attitude we encountered when trying to resolve the issue was unacceptable. This was our second negative experience with this takeaway in a short period of time and we would not recommend it to anyone."

"I visited J-Jay's for lunch with my friend amber today. amber comes here at least once a week and has often said that eating is delicious. it was my first time here today. I had a roasted tuna, sweetcorn and gurkensandwich, which was delicious, and a peanut butter power shake. the shake tasted very nice and was not only filling, but filled with protein. I need more protein in my diet and this is certainly a good opportunity to get a protein boost. I even bought peanut butter protein balls to go home with me. I'll eat in a short time. "I visited mid-week, late morning at half term with my 4 year old granddaughter after a birthday visit to build-a-bear. It was the first time I had been to a BK since my own children were small and I did not know what to expect! I wanted to see the children’s menu but there was nothing on display (everything is pictured up in lights above your head except the children’s menu so the young lady on the till had to verbally list and describe all the options. It was just before 11 o’clock and all the breakfast menu’s were on the display. The assistant was helpful and friendly. We chose a kid’s meal deal (chicken burger, fries, apple juice . I chose a bacon muffin with hash browns and tea. The total was less than £8. We did not wait too long for our order number to be called out. My granddaughter enjoyed her meal (she loved the free superhero toy though it said ‘boy toy’ on the receipt! . My muffin was fine, nothing exciting but good value for the money. I was still hungry though which must be why I noticed other diners had two burgers/muffins apiece. By the time we left it was busy and there were diners of all ages so it obviously has a wide appeal. The ‘restaurant’ (and I use the term loosely was freezing as it is completely open to the first floor of the shopping centre. I would only return if I had grandchildren with me."

"Tonight my family and I went to Nando's for dinner. I ordered the 4 Piece Boneless Chicken Thigh, which I found to be quite tasty. My daughter tried the Sunset Burger, which was just okay - the chicken in it was a bit dry. My wife ordered the Half Chicken, which was not only very dry, but also had a piece of feather still attached to it. It was hard to miss as it was at least an inch long and very noticeable. I am disappointed in the lack of presentation and quality control at Nando's. With all the kitchen and wait staff there, how did this oversight happen? We probably won't be returning to Nando's in the future."

"I’ve never known a pub be so anti customer. The £5 minimum spend is very outdated so people have to spend more if they don’t have the cash, in this day and age it’s not good enough. The food is genuinely good, but I would say that the obvious revolving door of management is either down to a terrible owner or it really just is that unmanageable. I’ve seen that the online presence seems to fluctuate, which can only be down to changing management. This unfortunately then has an effect on the quality of service from staff… I’ve been in a few times now and during the day there really isn’t any level of warmth to be had, I’d rather sit outside in the wind than have to listen to the chunterings of someone that clearly doesn’t want to be there. I was in one day time and I’d over heard a man shouting at someone for charging their mobile phone. The customer had obviously bought a beer from the bar, so what’s the issue? I was shocked to see it was the landlord that was sat there drinking ale shouting at this customer. Not very professional and highly cantankerous. I’d like to give it more than 2 out of 5, but I genuinely feel like the atmosphere and any ‘good time’ to be had is marred by staff and ownership that really need to know more about customer service. Perhaps one exception when I spoke with one man that was very pleasant. He had long hair tied back and knew how to speak to customers. Shame nobody else can learn from that. Happy to try the place again with it being the only pub in the area. I travel from Manchester to work here once every couple of months, so not totally awful if you’re just swinging by."

"My first visit with the kids to lydias was a bit late in the day so the lack of choice and staleness of cake was maybe a tiny bit acceptable, until we noticed a fresh batch of cupcakes set aside for later on! We didnt really fancy going back but when a family gathering was arranged there we decided our first visit must've been a bad day as people only have good things to say. Well, maybe we have brought the children up to be selective but when a four year old leaves a cupcake I dont think it's a good reflection on the baker! I had to agree though coffee was in a minute cup, acceptable if an expresso but not a latte, there was a smidgen of cream cheese for a bagel I purchased and when I asked for more my answer was they had run out no alternative or reduction in cost offered. Again the cakes were stale and dry and only two to choose from. I dont think this team are either professional nor creative their photos look great but I have never witnessed anything even slightly appealing to eye or tastebuds. Too much competition on Newland to ever return here again."

"Christmas meal with work colleagues, last year booked from the Christmas menu and it was wonderful, this year not. Soup was delicious but it went downhill from here. Belly pork had a weird texture that was not pleasant, stated with crackling but was poor quality pork scratching on the side, vegetables no flavour. Dessert rice pudding had no flavour apart from a spice that was sitting on the top. Friend had sea bass with a port sauce that overpowered the fish. This chef does not understand flavours that’s for sure, there was no depth of flavour to any of the dishes. After a disappointing overcooked omlette there recently, it’s not somewhere I’ll be spending my hard earned cash at again, too many good places to eat. Shame because the place has a nice ambience about it."

"4 of us went for Sunday Lunch. It was our first visit here and we wasn’t disappointed. The food was superb, very tasty, homemade Yorkshire puddings, plenty of meat, variety of veg and thick tasty gravy. The portions size was plentiful and service good. When we first arrived we were surprised how busy it was, but after sampling the food we realised it’s popularity was due to the high quality food being served at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend to others"
