"Didn’t get to try the coffee… walked in, two staff, a girl and a boy, were talking, they didn’t acknowledge us when we walked in, they looked right at us and turned back around to finish their conversation, still not even acknowledging we were waiting. We waiting about 4 minutes, they still carried on their conversation. At this point we walked out and went to 200 Degrees coffee shop up the road which was fantastic. Wouldn’t go to Cafe Nero again if it was free!"

"the butternut hot cake is seriously one of the best foods I had to eat, the roasted cale and veggies have the best balance of acid, sweet and salty, the beet root sauce goes amazing with the hot cake, the pesto added a perfect amount alternative dressing with the hot cake. the smoothie is beautiful, the cake look like art, I ordered the chocolate pistachio cake, it is very good, I like the dark chocolate on the top, the texture of the cake is perfect, and pistachio cream in the mitte is very unique and satisfying, only I am not a sweet tooth, so it is quite sweet for me, but it is just me to go back to this very warm coffee worker."

"All the food offered is good fresh and cooked on premises. Really freindly and helpful staff. The food is tasty and beautifully cooked by a caring and experienced team of Indian cooks. "Avenues is an amazing cafe. LOADS of choice decent vegan, veggie and meat options. Something for everyone. Clean, tidy, excellent food and friendly staff. Been going there for years. They do a massive breakfast with tea, coffee or fruit juice. Also main meals, including...proper Sunday lunch. Good size portions. Unpretentious and filling. Cakes and panini, toasties, omelettes, burgers, baked potatoes, snacks, take away or eat in. Decaf coffee, tea and herbal teas. Can't praise it highly enough! Best value in Nottingham. Great for all ages, families, everyone."

"We have lunch at the restaurant in the green Hyson area. The service was friendly and the genuinely Portuguese menu with bifana, Prego, and fish between the dishes. We enjoy the bread and olives and the pica-pau for beginners and chicken piri-piri piri for the main dishes. To drink, we had a glass of wine and a coca-cola Light and the account was only 20 pounds. We had expected to pay more, but we were charged for only one portion of the chicken dish, which was a pleasant surprise. Coffee was good too. Maybe it's a bit of a complaint but the coffee was quite austere and lacks color and the tables were very small. If I were in the area, I would say again, but not by car for an hour to get there, which is a shame, as I love Portuguese food and it is rare to find in this part of the world."

"We had a fab fab meal here following a very kind invitation from Paul. Also a huge shout out to Agnes, you are a credit to the team here your recommendations were spot on every time!! For starters we had calamari scallops with black pudding. I’ve always thought I wasn’t a fan of black pudding but it would appear I have been wrong for years this starter has won me over. The scallops were velvety melt in the mouth. The calamari has reinstated my husband’s faith in the dish as he’s had some underwhelming ones recently he couldn’t stop raving about it. I had to order the Sunday lunch went with the trio. Tim was keen to try the fillet steak Agnes recommended going for the one with garlic prawns which was a great shout really elevated the plate. He opted for the smooth creamy mash which they kindly sorted, as this usually comes with chips what we have dubbed the ‘stairway’ to heaven onion rings which got inhaled, they were crispy but not greasy. My Sunday lunch was a treat I thoroughly enjoyed every element on the plate, all the meats were cooked beautifully. The beef was pink, just how I like it. I was gutted they’d run out of cauliflower cheese but I imagine that would have tasted incredible. We were seriously impressed with the fillet steak, this was cooked rare it was the best that we’ve had in a long time. These guys know their meat they’re not messing around. You’ll be hard pressed to find better!! We shared a sticky toffee for dessert this was drowning in butterscotch sauce which I couldn’t get enough of! The martinis were a perfect end to our meal the barman has got skills! We also had a cheeky flutter in the casino afterwards managed to come out £40 up! Bonus! Overall we would 100% recommend this place, we really loved our experience genuinely the food was top notch. Thanks again for having us we will be back, just not years later this time "

"On April 13, 2024, we spontaneously decided to visit Mowgli... Indian Street Food for a meal. We were warmly greeted upon entering and shown to a table for two. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere with swings tables on one side, regular tables in the middle, and sofa tables in the corner. The lighting and ambience were beautiful, and the hosts were lovely. There was also a large seating area on the first floor. The waitress explained that the food is prepared fresh to order and may take some time, but the customer service was excellent. We ordered the Butter Chicken, House Lamb Rice, and enjoyed a beer. When our food arrived in traditional tiffin containers, it brought back nostalgic memories of our school days. The cutlery and table setting were also lovely, adding to the overall experience. The staff were patient as I took photos, and we had a very enjoyable time. Thank you to the staff for their hospitality."

"I've been going to this restaurant for 2 years, we've tried all the others in Nottingham and this one was the best until my last visit. We have noticed that the quality of the food has been lowered and now the amount of meat on your... plate has now only decreased to be replaced by bread! I'm not sure if it has recently changed ownership but you don't see the same staff there on different occasions? Current staff was more interested in chatting another new waitress. If the owner liked, we would look out the window at Tipoo and see how many guests there were compared to just the two of us here. Unfortunately we will not be returning which is a shame."

"This was going to be a 1 Star until we spoke to the manager.... We visited Wagamamas for an early Valentine 's Day Treat as we are both off. We arrived before there was a queue outside and were given a high table with wobbily seats. We ordered one main each, I ordered the kare burosu ramen and my partner ordered shirodashi ramen. My partner 's shirodashi ramen arrived at 12.36, ten minutes in we got asked what we were missing, they said they would chase it up with the kitchen. Ten minutes later the same waitress had visited other tables and gave out orders, so we asked someone else who was going to chase it up. A shirodashi ramen (Pork Belly) was presented to me... When told it wasn 't mine they proceeded to find out who it belong to, it was then taken back to the kitchen as they had obviously made up the wrong meal for me. Chased it up again as it had now been 25 minutes and even though my partner took breaks to prolong his meal he had already finished. My meal then arrives after 30 minutes.... But where are one of the main ingredients? The Kare burosu ramen is broth, tofu, mushrooms and greens. My meal had double the amount of broth than normal. I told them I was missing mushrooms, five minutes later a bowl of mushrooms are presents.... three minutes later I was asked is that better now? .... Why yes, to have a meal with all the correct ingredients is much improvement! We have visited Wagamama many times, it 's the first time visiting the Nottingham branch, and everyone 's table always seemed to have one person having their meal and the other doesn 't. One table of three near us had the same problem that one person had finished their meal before the other two even received theirs. There was a lot of staff on the floor so I don 't think it was due to lack of staff. We spoke to the manager and put forward our disappointment, she took my meal off the receipt which was good because it was a ridiculous experience and she said we could have a dessert to share which was nice. She said that there was a problem with the kitchen and lack of communication. If there was a problem with a second of the kitchen then this should have been stated to everyone at seating or ordering stage. We also asked for napkins at the start of my partner 's meal but of course there was no chance in receiving them. Not sure what the answer is on this branch but from our experience and the customers around us something needs to happen! I was very tempted to tell the people queuing outside the door not to bother."

"We made an unplanned stop at Kaspas Desserts since we don't have one where we live and wanted to check it out. Despite the initial impression that prices were high, the portions were actually very satisfying. We had a waffle with ice cream and were pleasantly full afterwards. The food tasted delicious and we definitely plan on returning when we're in Nottingham again. It's worth treating yourself to a tasty dessert here. As a marathon runner with a strict diet, I can still highly recommend indulging in the sweet treats at Kaspas. You won't regret it."

"pleasantly surprised that eating at my recent visit was an enormous improvement from my previous visit a few years ago. it is really of a very good standard now, and worth for money. if they are 're drinking around sherwood with a curry planned for the end of their night, this is their best option. I think there is only one other close, but it does not serve alcohol and takes a more modern approach to the menu, which means that standard favorite curries are not available. they think saagar is traditional British Indian dishes."

"Ordered 2 fish, 2 chips and a sausage two hours before it eventually arrived. Hardly a difficult order. No apology from driver. No apology from restaurant after phoning 2 3 times the woman at the restaurant said our order was ‘en route and would be seconds’ 15 minutes later, nothing. 25 minutes later, nothing. Rang to get a refund after, when 2 hours had surpassed, the food was cold and inedible, and got extreme animosity down the phone and ignorance. Told me to contact Uber directly, who, in themselves, are quite difficult. Aggressive tone throughout, seems to be a common theme there. Still, no apology Twice we’ve ordered from here now and been left with a poor taste in our mouths. Would avoid completely. Poor service, poor quality, poor timing. Poor everything. I could go on, but the poor people over there might have a bullying claim against me lined up."

"one of the best Thai restaurants in nottingham. the evening is more a fine essaffaire, but her lunch offer has been incredibly valuable for almost 20 years. 2 courses and coffee or tea for £12 is a bargain. the decor is a little dated, but the attentive and excellent service make for it. the track and track are available via Serco track and the track app or details can be verbally specified (if I can't have a signal as I can). eating was always on the same standard that is a big bonus for such a long restaurant."
