Attentive service and very tasty food. A few more veg in the vegetable curry would have been nice, the same with the meat in the meat dishes, but overall a very pleasant evening.

Ordered food from this restraunt for delivery and took over 2 hours to be delivered when originally was only meant to take 30 minutes rand up and 50 minutes and was told it had left 5 minutes ago rang up 45 minutes later only to be told the food was still in the restraunt poor service

Completely not my taste of curry , butter chicken taste like cinnamon chicken so as one of lamb curry I have also ordered. Some might like it but me being hungry and couldn’t eat my food was not as good experience. Personally wont be ordering again and I’m not saying food is bad it’s just not my taste. The most terrible experience with the restaurant i 've ever had. Over 3 hours of waiting and still no food : ' Do not run the business that you don 't know how to manage. They have absolutely no values, has been lied to on the phone two times and even the Deliveroo team couldn 't get through on the phone to them. Shocking.

Even after almost 2 hours of waiting, a serious struggle to manage to even find a way to contact them without it going straight to voicemail and eventually a promising phone call, the order was still wrong. We got some extra bits for the long wait but missed out on one of the rices, the meat in the korma was wrong and the naan bread was missing the garlic and cheese. The poppadoms tasted like old fish oil and the meat was oddly dry. Very disappointed

Have just eaten out here with a friend for my birthday. I love curry and used to eat here when I lived in Sherwood. I had forgotten how good Saagar is. The food tonight was mouth watering. We could tell it was freshly cooked as you could taste the fresh ingredients with every mouthful. The service was friendly and courteous. I've eaten here before and was not disappointed tonight. My friend had never been to Saagar before and said it was was one of the best curries she had ever had. Speisekarte ansehen

Pleasantly surprised that the food on my recent visit was a huge improvement from my previous visit some years ago. It really is of a very good standard now, and value for money. If you 're drinking around Sherwood with a curry planned for the end of your night, this is your best option. I believe there is only one other nearby, however it doesn 't serve alcohol and takes a more 'modern ' approach to the menu, meaning that standard favourite curries aren 't available. Stick to Saagar for traditional British Indian dishes.

Takeaway ordered on Saturday 10th at 5:45..food did not arrive until 8:45..1 item (Chicken Tikka Massala)was missing and 1 item spilt (Paneer curry) with an extra rice given to make up for the delay. Called to complain resturant very apologetic and offered a refund. No refund was given after 1 week and counting with two follow up emails ignored. The food that did arrive/in one piece was ok however was a starter, bread and rice between 2 so not really a proper meal. Very let down with the lack of follow up and will not be using again im afraid.

Abysmal, all the recent negative reviews on Google about this restaurant are accurate. Unfortunately I read them after I placed my order. There were 3 or 4 missing items yet they had the audacity to put a box of egg rice (like sand) and write “free egg rice on the house” what a joke. Th food which included a set meal of many items was sent out too early, was not fresh, all tasted of low quality. The worst thing of all was the lazy delivery driver who called my mobile struggling ' to find my house, the whole time he was sat in the car, and my husband ended up out for more than 5 minutes when he returned he said he was the one who had to open the driver 's passenger door and take the food hims...
