"My wife and I had seen MB Patisserie on Facebook several times and were impressed by the look of it. With a few days off together, we decided to drive over from Bridport for a treat and chose this shop because it was the most convenient for us to get to. The shop itself was nice, with a decent selection (although not as extensive as we had expected), and the food was really good – just as good as any similar places we had been to before. However, it was disappointing to find that the staff were incredibly rude. When my wife asked if a certain cake contained nuts due to her mild allergy, she was met with a blunt response of "everything has nuts." While we understand the importance of being cautious with allergies, the lack of tact in the response was shocking. If we had taken the woman’s word for it, we would not have been able to have a croissant at all. Thankfully, after some clarification, it was confirmed that the products are made in a kitchen where nuts are present, which was what we had expected. One of the other employees kindly called the bakery to double-check on another product for us. If all the staff were as diligent as she was, perhaps they would have more repeat customers. Unfortunately, despite the high quality of the products, we will not be returning due to the attitude of the staff."
