Very good food but missed desserts because no one told us table required for next booking, only told 15 mins before we were 'evicted '. Would have happily accepted this, just tell your diners!

1st class anniversary lunch. Delicious food, amazing gluten free options for coeliacs. Good selection of wines to choose from. Waiting staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be returning. Speisekarte ansehen

We were seated at a table downstairs, directly across from the door, and every time it opened, a cold draft blew in. One of our main meals was forgotten and arrived late to the table. It had been a while since our last visit, and the food was not as good as it had been before.

This was our 2nd time eating here. We frequently go for drinks there too. The first meal (dinner)we had was fantastic quality from start to finish. This lunch was disappointing. I had the dish of the day which was a cod pasta dish. It was smoked cod which the waitress hadn’t explained. It was quite a small portion the pasta was totally over cooked flat squashed penne pasta tubes. Not a lot of cod. The flavour of the dish was good though. My husband had the turkey ham roast of the day which was fine. Nothing special.

The restaurant was very noisy and had a cheap music system. We were seated on uncomfortable park benches in a setting that resembled a bus station. It felt awkward to sit side by side with the back of other diners in view. A restaurant should always ensure that couples are facing each other. The starter was disappointing, with just sour dough bread and tapenade provided. The mains were average at best, with the steak and ale pie not being anything to boast about. Overall, the dining experience was just okay, with other diners also expressing disappointment with their meals. I would not recommend this restaurant. Speisekarte ansehen
