I highly recommend the fried pizza prepared with excellent products and goose, and then the legendary frittatina the best I ate to napoli and not only. Friendly and helpful, excellent prices.

Great pizza, really delicious. pasta as well as ingredients are a real delight. it would have been perfect to add vegan cheese to the pizza, to complete everything. Maybe this could be a good suggestion. In any case I will return it is worth it.

I had already been the previous year, but the experience had been better. We were in 10 and we arrived at 14.30 to get some pizzas on the wallet. the really low price surprised me in a positive way, although sincerely I expected more from those pizzas... the frittata of pasta was fabulous instead! the biggest problem was paying; I can understand that the staff is busy, but I was half an hour waiting after they had already delivered me all the pizzas. Like they're doing me a favor in making me pay! I finally found myself eating a cold pizza and all sticking to paper.

I know that coming to Naples for pizza is a classic tourist move, but I had to and I heard that Di Matteo was the best. Staff was nice and service was fast. The menu was extensive, but I opted for a margarita with mushroom. The crust was my favorite part- the dough was PERFECT! The sauce was light, flavor phenomenal but almost a little soupy. I noticed everyone eating with a fork/knife (the pizzas are not sliced) and not wanting to be the ignorant American, I did it too. It felt odd, but it was a more practical way to eat the pizza with the slippery toppings. This restaurant is very rustic and there is clearly a lot of history here.

Everyone says Napoli pizza, the birth place of pizza is where it 's at. I guess I have never had real pizza. The reviews I read are on point, simple flavors, slightly soupy, light crust. Now considering I almost stood in line for an hour waiting at that other place...I 'm glad I walked over here, maybe 5 minutes in line. The pizzas are individual sized and is folded over into quarters and placed in a paper wrapper to go. So Napoli aside, I think it was ok...since it felt like the pizzas were sitting in the glass showcase for a while...it surely wasn 't hot when you purchased it. The simple flavors weren 't mind blowing either, kinda forgettable to be honest.
