"This restaurant is in a perfect location and close to the beach. Decorated beautifully both inside and out. When we arrived as a party of 8, the outside terrace was full but we were offered an inside table which we gladly accepted. Our waitress came over with menus and again a few minutes later to ask for drink orders. We are an English family on holiday in Rome and we don't speak very good Italian. However we have family here in Rome and I have been holidaying in Ostia for 37 years. So we always try our best to order in our best Italian, albeit sketchy! Our waitress wasn't happy with our efforts though and seemed quite annoyed and rather aggressively pointed to a QR code and told us to download the English version of the menu. We tried to do this to appease her although it didn't really seem necessary to us. But it didn't work and we couldn't download it. Very possibly a fault with our phones or Internet connection. When our waitress returned we ordered 2 bottles of still water and some wine. We received the wine but only one bottle of still wine and one sparkling. Since we had poured the sparkling water already and didn't want to be seen complaining we didn't mention anything. For our food we ordered 8 suppli to start. They come in portions of 2 and we were very specific we needed 4 portions so 8 suppli in total. We ordered in English as when we tried to order in Italian we were met with eye rolls and then barked at in English. So we ordered in English. We then ordered our main meals. After our order our waitress arrived with two brown paper bag and threw them (literally) on our table without mentioning what they were. When we opened them there were 3 slices of bread in each. Nothing arrived to accompany them and no soup was ordered. So we're still not sure what they were supposed to go with. Not something we have experienced in any other restaurants in Rome/Ostia. When the suppli arrived we only had 2 portions so only enough for half of our party. We told a member of staff but waited quite some time before the second half. When they eventually arrived we only got a mouthful of them before our mains arrived. The waiting staff were literally moving our plates out of the way to make room for our mains and then left us with piles of dirty plates and half eaten suppli around us. No clean cutlery or napkins and no sharp knives to cut the pizza. No one came by to clear any of the dirty plates. We did run out of water so I did go looking for someone to order more. By this time the restaurant was much quieter and there were lots of staff but no one close by. When the water arrived my husband ordered a beer to have with his meal but unfortunately it didn't arrive until after we had finished eating. We did send it back however as it was no use at that point as we were ready to leave. We did then ask for the bill but after some time waiting we gave up and asked to pay on our way out instead. As for the food it was nice! As was the restaurant itself and on the whole the waiting staff seemed great apart from the lady serving our table, so I do think we were probably just unlucky. But the service did unfortunately spoil our night. We have eaten in several restaurants in this area and always with great food and service so this did stand out as particularly bad. The desserts looked amazing and we had initially planned on ordering some but we were unfortunately just quite eager to leave by then. We grabbed a lovely ice cream round the corner instead! I think with the right serving staff this restaurant could have been perfect but a surly waitress, wrong orders, eating amongst dirty plates, looking for staff and having to interrupt their conversations etc to order water/pay the bill etc just spoiled it unfortunately. Other staff in the restaurant were much more attentive and pleasant so I think we were probably just unlucky. It's the first restaurant in the 2 weeks we have been here that we have said we would not return to."

beautiful location, restaurant and eat. the menu has many offers and they are so delicious that it is difficult to choose. not cheap, but super worth it: the service is also great.

amazing interior design, so cool and perfect in any season. I was in summer and also now in winter I really love it! friendly staff and great courses. seasonal menu. location perfect, few steps from the beach. highly recommended. a must try. until soon again in summer.

What to say if not great. I was in this restaurant by chance. I was looking for a good restaurant to host and to tell the truth that I happened in the best. It's all perfect starting from the appetizers, first and second but above all to crown all this there is a kindness and courtesy from the staff that is not located anywhere. if you go through a guest or you are at home, my advice is to go directly to this restaurant without any other turns. First impression as you walk in is “wow! Looks really nice!” Staff are friendly and pleasant for sure but once we ordered it got strange. One of the starters we ordered “fried cod” literally came within a min… it had for sure already being cooked and was sitting and waiting. Then 2nd starter appeared 2 mins later before we even got a bottle of water. Mentioned to waitress can we have some drinks and then they arrived… followed almost immediately by all the pasta dishes and second courses , I swear we had everything we ordered on the table within 10-15 min. We arrived without a table booked, and got a table right away. The host was friendly and smiling. The place is wonderful, decoration is incredible. Nice music, not too loud. Very nice for bringing the family. They have a printed menu in Italian, and option of QR code for menu in English. For almost 10 minutes no one came to take our order for beverages or anything. I went to ask if I needed to order from the till, but was told to wait at the table. After a few minutes the waiter came and was very friendly.
