AOC Les Halles - Speisekarte

An extremely rude waitress that not only ignored us (to be expected as we spoke English) but made our year old daughter cry! A first for our family of five

Had a nice pork dish which was the plat du jour, and a nice lamb dish. The place was very busy at the time so one had to be a bit aggressive to ensure a reasonable service.

This is just beyond excellent. We treated ourselves to champagne and oysters at one of the shops. Absolutely magnificent. I brought chocolates back to a friend and they were amazing. Go hungry and be prepared to spend several hours browsing!

We wish we had chosen a different spot in Les Halles. The potatoes were burnt and when I pointed this out the waiter shrugged and said he would tell her. Plat du jour was OK, at least not burnt. It was disappointing given the location....The waiter was more interested in chatting to his friend than helping us.

I arrive. Empty restaurant waitresses busy consulting phones ignore me. I speak (in French) Are you open? Waitress We open at Waitress (without looking up): It is Waitress Then sit down Plus more if the same. Had Plat du...Jour shoulder of lamb. Very tasty but (unlike the perfect veg) not very hot A BIT of a disappointment

Place looked great visually but no restaurants showed any interests in helping a group of seven tourists, although they were not all that busy. Had to split the group into two and ended up eating at different restaurants. Services and foods at both places...were just ok like any restaurants you find on the streets. No reason to sought after.

The Halles Paul Bocuse is a wonderful place to visit if you pass by Lyon and if you want to discover all the food specialties from Lyon. This restaurant is in this place and it is great to have a lunch time after a visit...of the Halles or for a business time. It doesn't take too long to be served, very good price quality ratio and I advise for the Andouillette de Veau.

We had lunch in the AOC estaurant in the Paul Bocuse markets. The Markets may be a great place to buy the best ingredients but the AOC Bar à vins restaurant fitted the description of offhand service in the Tripadvisor reviews. I know, we should...not have had the tourist menu at euro for chicken and pasta (which had the hard edges typical of a dish flashed under a too-hot grill) when the menu offered Irish Angus steak at euro.

Upon arriving we were greeted by waitresses all on their phones too busy on Facebook to be friendly to paying customers. It took minutes to get someone to take our order even though the place was empty and nobody brought us any water or...bread etc. Had steak tartare which was cut so thick it was tough and chewy like eating a cheap cut of stir fry beef, it was inedible. Husband's pork was inconsistently cooked part of it dry and over cooked and some of it cooked perfectly, everything was only just warm not hot.. nobody came to check if everything was ok, how the meals were or if we needed anything.. terrible place and disappointing as it was our last meal in Lyon and ended our trip on such a...
