I would be curious and happy to know all the activities and more but no way of locomotion to think

located in a nice corner near busy street, so it nice for a solo lunch. staff not very helpful for non french speaker, average taste food, big portions for Paris.

What a wonderful cafe! Good food, great drinks...and the best people! We have enjoyed for coffee, lunch, cocktails, etc. The best aperol spritz we’ve had. Just need to add pommes frites to the menu and it will be perfect! Proprietor and Cedric were our favorites...

Une très agréable terrasse dans une rue calme de Saint Germain des Prés. Un service sympathique. Voici pour le bon côté. Malheureusement la nourriture est médiocre avec notamment une soupe à l'oignon beaucoup trop concentrée à croire qu'on l'a préparée avec du bouillon cube et un baba au rhum sec voire rassi qui a probablement du voir passer beaucoup de clients avant d'être sorti du frigo. Si vous souhaitez boire un verre dans un joli endroit, bonne idée, mais éviter la cuisine semble nécessaire.

We were struggling somewhat to find a non-seafood restaurant in st germaine that went beyond duck confit and escargot. And we found that here with a beautiful selection of local sausages, for instance served on a bed of flavoursome lentils. I could not resist the...pot lyonnaise wine carafe at a little under of volume. We are not French but found the waiter very accommodating and helpful, I will admit to exchanging the potatoe salad for dauphinese and got not stick for it. Overall we were very pleased. We only had coffee, which was excellent, but saw enough of what others were eating to say it looked excellent and everyone was eating with much enjoyment. Very traditional brasserie decor, and the staff were attentive. For those reviewers who made adverse comments re non-French...speaking, all I can say is that you ARE in France and ought to make an effort! MY French is what I recall from years ago, so not good. But, in at least trying, I’ve been rewarded with kindness and forbearance. Lesson over! Good place to eat! Kim W, Gippsland, Australia

I first visited Au chai de l'abbaye almost by accident more than years ago. I love the place and I have never missed an opportunity to return. It may feel like a typical Parisian bistrot, but it has a very special personality and flavor....The tartines are very different from the sandwiches served in the cafes in Paris, and the menu is not large but it offers some specialties that you don't often find elsewhere, (saucisson lyonais, saucisse de Morteau, chou farci), and they are all excellent. There is a nice wine selection in carafes at reasonable price (by St Germain standards). I very much like this place and will keep returning as long as it does not change.

After days of wonderful Paris, this stop off was bad enough to mention. We stopped in for drinks and desserts on our way to our hotel, which is right around the corner and were somewhat excited to have yet another wonderful restaurant close by....It looked and smelled Fabulous! We were greeted promptly, a good sign, and seated quickly. That's where is went south. A grumpy waiter plopped a board on the table listing specials and thats the last we saw of him. His section was not super busy. Two others were seated, provided drinks and orders taken. We were not spoken to or served. I did hurriedly manage to ask for a tea as he left the ta ble next to us.
