"Really disappointed arrived at 18.30 to eat early 21.00 passed mains not cleared and no dessert offered if we’d waited for desserts it would have been breakfast Food well starters to be fair were good but not one main course was worth the money or actually enjoyable as they were so late to come out Tried to look for one if the TWO serving team but they were not available it responsive to client needs Complained and the only response was ‘oh sorry’ basically we have tourists every night who won’t come back so what do we care ??? Good fun for us to be together but what a waste of money who could enjoy mains after 2 hours at the table ?"

"After an 11 hour drive from The Aquitaine region we arrived in Mensil-Val at around 9pm, tired and hungry. We dropped our bags at the hotel and walked down to the seafront in the hope of getting a meal. Imagine our dismay, on getting there...and the sign outside saying Complet !! There didn't appear to be any other restaurants around within walking distance (we'd seen enough of the car for one day) so my husband went inside and asked if they had a table for 3. The restaurant was indeed very busy so we didn't hold much hope. But they were great, they asked us to wait just a few minutes while they cleared the table. It was such a relief. The main focus seemed to be the eat as much as you like buffet, which seemed to have a reasonable amount of options but there was also a variety of other options on the menu which weren't on the buffet, which isn't something you often get at home, it's buffet or nothing. The food was reasonably priced and was of a nice quality. We had desserts, coffees and a Pastis to finish off the night and indeed our holiday, yet considering our late arrival, we didn't feel at all rushed. The staff were very pleasant and helped when our limited French wasn't understandable !?!? On receiving the bill we realised that they had not included all our desserts, so we pointed it out to the waitress who came back with a revised bill and pointed out that due to our honesty they had removed the cheese platter that we had ordered. We felt that this was a lovely touch that wasn't expected, we were just being honest. Nice restaurant, right on the beach, just what we wanted."

"If I had to note that the dishes would be 5 stars. Everything was perfect apart from the service... Much too long especially when 3 servers discuss a table with the family instead of taking care of the other tables.... Being obliged to go ask the reception to have someone to order is really a pity. I really remember the cuisine that is top and it’s often what we’re looking for in a Belle experience restaurant despite everything"
