Dining delicious, we took the salmon gravlax bar. Fresh product, nice plates, pretty and charming waitress. Good value for money. Let's go back.

Disappointed... Menu of the day we think we eat fresh products... Either the fish was frozen or it was too cooked, we don't know. We were not reminded of the dessert of the child menu before we went back... However, the young waitress was very friendly

From the outside, this unassuming building doesn't seem like it is going to be a pleasant surprise. There are multiple restaurants in the Citadel of Blaye, some with wonderful views over the river but none can hold a candle to the food here! We were the first diners to arrive, but were promptly seated and brought the menu (both a set menu, and a la carte). It's a nice place for lunch during the tour of the citadel because the location is pleasant and peaceful when you sit outside. It's shaded (practice during hot days and monks). The staff is very friendly, but does not give the best service. Also the kitchen could do a better job. The entrance (salade of tomatoes with goat cheese cream) was simple but good, you can not expect much more by paying only 12.5 for a 2-course lunch. Unfortunately, they forgot our second dish and after waiting 45 minutes, the waitress came to ask us if we wanted dessert. So we kindly indicated that we were waiting for our steaks.
