"this little pretty produces really excellent eating in a pleasant inviting atmosphere. the first impressions are not great as it is right on the side of the road in a small village, but the greeting is charming, the decor and ambiente beautiful and especially the...food magnificent. our sohn was provided a tailor-made children's menu, which went very well around €15. my wife and I had pan kicked foie gras with artichoke purée, which was really super, followed by sweetbreads on lemongrass brochettes, with heapse purée, back from this world and then we had a small strawberry feuilleté that was divine. all in all a really excellent meal. with a glass fizz and a glass rosé it came to €157, which is much, but it was so good I felt that it was worth for money. best, when we said we were in a hurry, they pulled out all the stations to make sure we were gone on time. really good and highly recommended."

this is a charming stroll in the city below the castle of the winzers charles joguet. we went a week at night and the dings were very quiet. but that meant that the chef was at our disposal. the special of the night was the sole meunière and my husband and I ordered both. the sole was the best we ever tried. reasonable price and a beautiful weeping list means we go back.

this is a beautiful traditional auberge and worth a visit when they are in the Chinon area. we all enjoyed our meal, especially the guinea fowl, which we all had as main course. the wine list was very extensive and could. be expensive unless they order the local wein through the pichet . we had a very nice evening and the staff was very friendly that we had enough English and French between us to come by!

We had an exceptional meal. We were warmly looked after. Madame carefully explained the menu. The chef was on top of his game. The starters were fabulous big fat prawns with and delicious herby green salad and peanuts looked better than the huge chunk of...fois gras on a tarragon and green beans salad. The mains were all tasty. My 8 yr old son enjoyed his chicken. My daughter, aged 15 polished of her lamb. The cod looked Devine and my beef was perfect. The cheeses were served at the right temperature and the chocolate pudding a work of art. Large wine list from cheap and cheerful to expensive.

the auberge was recommended to us by our airbnb host, we are grateful to him because we had an excellent meal. we were greeted by the chef and manager and attentive service during our meal. florenz spoke to us through the details of the...Menu and gave a good suggestion for wein. It is knowledgeable and proud of the local products and the quality of the food in each cure was obvious. I enjoyed a very good lamb dish for my main course and had the best rhum baba I've ever eaten. we have enjoyed the best meal we have eaten in the opposite and recommend the auberge for a great culinary experience in the whole round. and many thanks also to florence for their generous gastronomic gift as we have...

We have passed this restaurant many times during our stays in Ligre and at last Made it for lunch, and regretted it being our first visit. Relaxing, classy dining room. Exceptional service in English if required), and the set lunch menu was exceptional value...for four courses. Choice of starters, choice of three mains, very good and filling) cheese selection and a set sweet. All courses were lovely and well presented. We deliberately chose different dishes and each were a taste delight. We now understand why this restaurant has such a good reputation, and it is well deserved. Definitely one to visit if you are in the area, only minutes from Chinon. Our son and daughter are going tomorrow .....

The female order taker was extremely rude and started off with do you speak French and when I said yes but my husband does not she let out a sigh such a loud exasperate sigh. Needless to say, the rest of the evening showed...that she didn’t have an ounce of civility every single thing was a hassle for her. All she wanted was to serve the large parties and the people that drank excessive amounts of alcohol. She was extremely rude and did not even know what the basics of customer service were. It was a miserable experience and even if the food was stellar which it was not I would never recommend this place! Awful! I informed our hotel that it was terrible! I hope she gets the same treatment wh...

Our host in Tavant recommended this Auberge to us, 5 km away from our B&B. We made the necessary reservation. The menu had to be explained to us. We chose the menu ‘a starter, main dish and a drink’ for €18 p.p. By that time...we were already drinking an ‘expensive’ wine, which was not part of the menu. We both had ‘cole salad with shrimps’ as a starter really nice. My girlfriend had ‘veal stew with mushrooms and olives’ a bit sour but tasteful in the end. I had ‘fish of the day, salmon, with lentils, mashed potatoes and chantarel’ a very tasty dish indeed. The white wine with the main meal was more or less tasteless. I almost forgot the amuse, which was nice. Serving was good. The lady owne...
