"Unfortunately, because of covid the auberge ravoux is now closed and will be reopened in something like martyr 2022. when they go there after this date, they will visit safely. that is if they are a real van Gogh fan and/or want to know a little more about his life, the last 70 days of it. for some what they get to see can't be much. Now, they could say it's not a big thing, it's just a room, a very small one that doesn't have any furniture inside. what is important in this small room is not the missing furniture there is not because it would not be authentic. it is what they remember from vincent's living struggle to make a living among very difficult circumstances to end. it is about the feeling, understanding, experiencing what it is to live in such a small space, compared to the millions of dollars are willing to pay for his works of art today. it is about getting as close to the man and the artist as possible. it's about understanding what vincent was and is all. in silence. without noise. it's stunning. it's a moment when you don't forget and take away with you and the little movie that tells you about vincents stay in auvers is really well done and quite informative. this place is the place about art and about vincent in auvers safe.
