"I recently visited Podda and Wren coffee shop, first stopping by for takeaway during the Christmas season. The shop is conveniently located and offers delicious cakes. I believe it would benefit from a refurbishment and the option for customers to sit in. I returned with my family to enjoy tea and cake, and found the owners to be very friendly. We also grabbed some more takeaway cake and pies. In November 2023, I came across their mobile coffee van at Kendal Mountain Festival, where I enjoyed excellent coffee and cake. I revisited in December 2023 and noticed they had added more decorations and seats. This venue prioritizes ethics, with no dairy products on site and a commitment to responsibly sourcing coffee, tea, and chocolate. Overall, a wonderful spot for a treat!"

A fully vegan bakery. I bought a loaf of local sourdough, a peanut butter blonde and a Cornish style pasty. The pasty was absolutely amazing!! Speisekarte ansehen

Oh my goodness, this place is amazing! The pizza rolls and cinnamon buns are absolutely delicious, the cookies are huge, and the entrees are just perfection. I can't believe I experienced all this in just one visit. By the way, the restaurant will be moving to Kendal sometime next month.

dipped and immediately loved the place. the girls are very friendly and the cakes are delicious. I couldn't help but grab three of the cinnamon rolls, a bakewell cake and a jammy dodger cake to bring home. all taste excellent. also the quality of the coffee is very high. could no longer recommend. Lovely brownies and blondies that we had whilst visiting Kendal. The friendly owner can deliver locally for free or can be picked up. Also great that they did not contain nuts or coconut oil to which my son is intolerant (but not severely allergic). Most of all tasted great and all vegan for a wonderful treat!

Podda and Wren are relatively new to Kendal, but they are well-known in the Windermere area as Fellside Coffee and Bannila Bakery. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is fantastic, with a wide variety of cakes and coffee options. Jonathan is known for making the best flat whites, and Laura's cakes are top-notch. With the recent addition of Ash and the ability to roast coffee on site, Podda and Wren has become the place to go for a great dining experience.

"This review is strictly on the afternoon tea experience only. The food was absolutely wonderful, the lady who served food and the male staff (presumed the owner) were both very kind and friendly. I felt that the afternoon tea was an absolute treat since there was nothing to fault with, that was only until it was ruined by the rude woman who was driving past in black 4x4 (presumed female host). After we finished the afternoon tea, I decided to let my dog out from our car to let him stretch his legs before we set off, the rude woman mentioned above asked me if I was looking for a public footpath so I answered no. She then started to lecture me about the ‘no dog policy’ in the property as well as pointing a direction to the public footpath I did not ask. She drove further towards the car park and parked there, got out of her, and started to tell me off in the most rude way possible again. I explained that we just had an afternoon tea here and we’re about to leave. She then turned around started to take stuff out of her boot mumbling loud “stupid..blah blah” in the angry tone, which by the way was clear for me to hear even though I was at least a few feet away from her. I was so bewildered and frustrated at how this perfectly lovely experience went down the hill like this si quickly. Hence I took two stars off even though I did enjoy the food here. Whoever that woman was, please make sure that they cannot behave that way to a guest."
