This is a consistently good place to eat. Very good quality meal. Magret de Canard cooked perfectly, served perfectly and really enjoyable meal. Next year we will return. Yet again huge portions so could not manage a dessert. Speisekarte ansehen

I have been in here a number of times and have always got happy welcome. Lunch is good and at a reasonable price. the beer tasted nice as well .Also the coffee is very good they must buy good coffee(a lot of places in France...don't)

I only stopped off for a break from driving. I was served smartly by friendly waiter with the tastiest Grand Creme that I'd had for my whole holiday in France. Nice and hot with hot milk in separate little jug. So good I had to...have a second drink !

Bar Aquataine is our absolute favourite place .. we moved fairly local and popped in for a coffee , so glad we did as we pop in or times a week and eat there frequently , friendly , local and great service ,...great value , comfortable and away from the main square which can be very busy , we love it and Philipe is a star ! Called in at the Aquitaine for lunch. Wasn't hungry but my husband wanted to come here. Well, I have to say I found my appetite! I had the tastiest piece of fish I've had in a long time. Lots of chips, which were very nice,...and some lettuce and tomato in a tasty dressing. Portions are man-sized, so very good value. Service is good, the place is clean and the proprietor makes you feel very welcome.

traditional menu. We were two families children for lunch. The service was excellent and the waiter spoke English even though we were desperate to impress him with our French. The salad nicoise was simple however delicious on a warm summer's afternoon. The portions are...generous so a starter and main could prove too much. Reasonably priced. We will visit again before going home just to try the moules frites.

This is a typical french bar style of eaterie not a restaurant. The atmosphere is great, the owner is very friendly and the food can't be faulted for what it is. There is a choice of duck/steak/fish/veal/quiche all of which come with a very...generous amount of chips and a lovely fresh salad. For colder months there is cassoulet too. We had the magret which was cooked perfectly and the accompaniments were excellent. For not much more than euros each without wine or drinks it was excellent value. We will go back for sure.
