"Auf der Suche nach einem guten Restaurant in der Gegend um Eymet blieben wir beim „Walnut“ in Eymet hängen. Schon Tage zuvor war es uns aufgefallen jedoch mangels ansprechendem Aussenbereich/Garten hatten wir es zunächst verworfen. Die Bewertungen ließen uns aber aufhorchen und wir probierten einen Anlauf. Schon beim Empfang spürten wir die Professionalität des Personals. Super nett und zuvorkommend! Ambiente bis hin zu den Toiletten: ein Erlebnis! Und das Essen einfach Spitze! Es wird auch fließend (native) Englisch gesprochen. Dennoch nutzten wir Französisch als Kommunikationssprache. Preise etwas gehoben, jedoch der tollen Qualität mehr als angemessen! Sollte man unbedingt besuchen! Evtl. auch Plätze auf der Veranda frei hier wäre Reservierung hilfreich. Danke für den schmackhaften Abend!"

"We had just arrived for a 3 night stay in Eymet and found Cafe Tortoni open and serving on the terrace. The atmosphere in the bar was warm and friendly and it was full of local residents. We chose simple salads which were delicious and generous. The service from the young waiter was friendly and efficient. A great bar staffed by welcoming and friendly people."

"We came back after our first visit in July 2023 and ordered almost the same selection again. Whilst the wait is a bit long, it’s worth it for these amazingly delicious galettes that this wonderful little restaurant consistently serves (yes consistent 14 months later after first time round! . The staff were so friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend ‘le forestière’ galette as the mushrooms are to die for. If you don’t like mushrooms, try any one of their excellent trout (truite galettes my 9 year old wolfed every crumb. Desserts are also excellent, however my wife, after demolishing her ‘verone’ dessert crepe, declared that she ‘needed a sleep’. A sign of contentment and that I was destined to drive us on to Libourne without any further discussion. This is an excellent restaurant and well worth a visit. We will always come back every time we come to Eymet!!!"

"Après une attente interminable (il y avait un monde incroyable), on nous a finalement installé. On était un groupe de 6, et on a finalement décidé de se scinder en 2 (on avait un enfant de 3 ans avec nous qui ne pouvait plus attendre).Le restaurant est littéralement pris d'assaut mais on nous avait prévenu ! Mieux vaut venir vers 19h ou 21h pour pas trop attendre, entre les 2 c'est compliqué. Mais honnêtement les clients sur place prenaient plus que leur temps et certains ont continué de parler pendant très longtemps malgré le fait qu'ils voyaient qu'il y avait du monde.Une fois installée on a été servi très rapidement, les plats étaient bons (le risotto aux cèpes n'usurpe pas sa réputation, il est délicieux !), malgré un petit couac pour les apéritifs (mais encore beaucoup de monde). Les desserts étaient aussi délicieux ! Enfin, il y a une liste de allergènes par plat, il y a des plats pour végétariens et ils font des doggybags :)"

"We celebrated our first year of moving to Eymet here. We never got to try this place before because of lockdowns and was pleasantly surprised to have a restaurant this good near us all along. It was a warm summer evening when we visited and...we got seated in the courtyard. My partner and I ordered the same lentil and foie gras starter and rossini steak for main. Both beautifully cooked and seasoned. The steak was served with something like a dauphinois potato but more buttery and creamy. I like to cook this dish but can never copy that smell of hot butter you get in a French restaurant. The Bergerac red which they recommended was smooth and mellow at 30 eur. To top it off I had a chocolate mousse cake. It had a hint of saltiness that made the chocolate taste intense. Happy that from now on we don’t need to go all the way to Issegiac for quality food."
