"We stumbled across the copperspoon by chance. We had been at the near by Marazion beach when we took a stroll into the beautiful town. The window displays of freshly made scones, cakes and cookies caught our attention. As it was a blustery day we felt a hot chocolate was what was needed. We were not disappointed. Firstly we were greeted and chatted about our visit to the beach. While our hot chocolates were being being prepared, the staff advised us of a good spot to sit and drink with stunning views over to St Michael's Mount. We took the advice and took our drinks to the Green Landing near by and yes the scenery was breath-taking. The drink was very chocolatey and covered in cream, marshmallows and a flake. Yummy This warmed us up nicely for another walk along the beach back to our car."

"Bruce’s tasting menu was the highlight of our 10 day gastronomic tour of Devon and Cornwall. For someone who claims never to have visited Japan, his kaiseki menu would do even Endo proud. His interpretation of chawanmushi was sublime with a fresh and crunchy shitake and caviar. Superb fish fresh from the quay and the locally grown vegetables were delicious. Even the shiso tasted like shiso tastes in Japan, a remarkable achievement given that shiso in UK is generally bland and disappointing. Three things to bear in mind: 1) try to show up at 6.45pm to get the best tables. Dinner starts promptly at 7pm. 2) don’t expect any meat. 3) Bruce leaves the kitchen between every other course to describe the following two courses. His account of where he sourced the ingredients and how he prepared them is truly fascinating. Finally, a meal at the Shore is not only a true feast for all your senses but also incredibly good value. "Very good atmosphere. Hadn't booked but still managed to create a spot with our 3 children. Reception immediately felt good. Staff very friendly and delicious food. Super atmosphere. "This truly is an amazing place the food is of exceptional quality we return week after week the fish finger bun is simply the best the soup with a chunk of bread is always of a fantastic variety not found elsewhere And to finish it off try their coffee cake or homemade florentine in dark chocolate Great coffee also If we arrive before 11.30 we go for the breakfast poached eggs on avocado this is often copied in many places but never beaten and full English which is quality Outside seating area is fantastic with sun parasols provided and even soft padded cushions if you are down that way DO NOT WALK ON BY you will not be disappointed"

"Small menu. Four starters and mains of steaks with your choice of sauce and four fish dishes.My husband and I opted for the scallops and sweet potato soup to start and sirloin steaks. Starters were tasty although not large. The unusual coconut roll served with the soup was delicious but tiny. Ditto the complimentary roll with speciality buttet we each received after placing our order. Our sirloin steaks were good but medium rare, rather than rare as we requested. This was a little disappointing for a restaurant that bils itself as a speciality steak and seafood restaurant. The steaks were served with excellent skin on chips, a half tomato and a caeser side salad. Shame there were no other choices my husband likes neither tomato or caesar salad but there were no alternatives. Service was prompt but rather impersonal it sounded rather as if the servers were reading from a script. The restaurant also lacked atmisphere: It was surprisingly unbusy for a Saturday night yet they wouldn't accept any walk ins.Our two course meal for two with a bottle of wine totalled before tip, which I guess is reasonable for a steak meal. We enjoyed our meal but probably wouldn't rush back, particularly as the menu is so limited."
