Another visit to this French institution, le transport cafe, for the traditional French lunch 5 courses plus coffee!! Now a regular stop for us whilst visiting friends in the area. Always an honest farmhouse menu at a value packed price. If you are in the area, it's a no brainer!

Excellent French rural food. Not pretentious 1. Soup 2. Cold meat, veg salad, egg. 3. Steak and chips, Steak excellent medium rare. 4. Cheese, 8 varieties for you to cut. 5. Desert, Cheese cake. Included. Wine Red, White or Rose, bread and coffee all for an unbelievable price of €15. Menu varies day to day. I would recommend lunch.

We had the opportunity to stop at this restaurant on our way back from a few days' getaway in the Lot. It was an excellent surprise. The lunch menu is very generous (soup, starter, main course, cheese, dessert table wine). Old-fashioned. The service is friendly and professional. Qualitative cuisine with local products. I didn't find the main course exquisite, hence the 4, but everything else was a treat. The homemade dessert convinced me even though I very rarely have it. Beautiful terrace at the back of the establishment. Friendly atmosphere with respect for everyone even if there were very large tables.
