"Very small portions for the price and we were asked to pay before receiving our order. My mother ordered panini which turned out to be baguette, barely toasted, I ordered quiche, which was half the size I would expect for the price. Both of our plates had a spoonful of green salad and a tiny portion of coleslaw. Most of the plates were covered in crisps, which neither of us like and these were of poor quality. My 'Mediterranean quiche ' was runny and did not warrant the £8 price. The doors were open, causing a draught. The waitress was not particularly pleasant or helpful. Not a pleasant experience. We won 't be going there again."

Several of us met here for lunch. We have now been a couple of times and find the food is fresh and well presented, staff are lovely and the cafe is very clean. We will be back.

Visited Stokesley today for the first time, Bexters Tea Rooms looked inviting and wewere not disappointed, food amazing, lovely friendly staff with one lady going far and above to help people's every need. Well done to you all, especially the hugs

Baxter’s is a small but friendly place to catch up with friends. The staff are brilliant.... always welcoming and efficient. The coffee is good and the scones and cakes are fresh and delicious.It is always busy and occasionally it is difficult to get a table.

Nice waitress seated us in the window, gave us menus and said I’ll be back in a few minutes, 10 minutes later no return, another waitress proceeded to chat to an obvious friend who had come in after us, two other couples were also seated after us, the nice waitress returned and proceeded to take orders from persons around us then walked off in to the kitchen, at which time we decided we’d been ignored long enough !! Head over to the fish n chip diner, better value for money, much better service
