Boeuf ou Salade - Speisekarte

Popped in for lunch on our first day in Reims. Great food with a special mention for the House Tiramisu ‘home made’, with a twist, and absolutely delicious. Wonderful experience.

We regularly use Reims as a stop-over on our way home to the UK. We have always had a good meal in this restaurant over the years but it was evident that it had changed for the worse on our most recent visit. The service was poor and the steak was tough, bordering on inedible. We will not be returning. Shame.

It is a restaurant that approaches perfection on all points. more than a small effort and you will make it. The cuisine is not lacking in flavor, especially the burgignon beef. the portions are sufficient, not too much or not enough. simple but carefully presented dishes. Nice staff. price justified by the quality of the dishes and the service.

No one was sitting on the terrace when we arrived. Turned out there was a reason for that. The service was friendly enough, nice outdoor seating. The entrecote was overcooked, the bavette was undercooked. The sauces ("béarnaise", yeah right) were cold. The fries tasted of nothing much. The worst thing is, we both felt a bit nauseous the day after. That day, we had no other meal which could have caused this.Avoid!

Commençons par le positif: le service est rapide.Pour le reste: salade norvégienne: beaucoup de salade à peine fraiche, 3 crevettes, 3 tomates cerises, du saumon bas de gamme très salé et très gras, 2 pommes de terres roties surgelées, un bout de cake saumon surgelé trop réchauffé au micro ondes et donc tout désséché,et du pain équivalent à celui du resto universitaire... Le tout pour 16 euros.Pas prête de revenir... Je suis allée prendre mon dessert ailleurs.

We spent a couple of weeks in Paris and during that time we took a day trip to Reims. Towards the end of our day, and on our way back to the train station we stopped here to grab one for the road. I can not say enough about the young lady who waited on us. She was a student, short blond hair and it was her first day working there which I believe to be Friday, April 28th. She also took a great picture of us which I hope she remembers! Thank You again for such a great pic!1

We chose this restaurant because of the lovely terrace in the heart of Reims and also because I really wanted a delicious salad. I ordered a Cesar Salad with chicken. I did get a lovely salad, but it had very little to do with a Cesar Salad. There was no romain lettuce, but ordinary lettuce, there were two dressings, none of which were Cesar Dressing. The only things remining me of a Cesar were the croutons and some Parmesan shavings. I did find tomatoes and onion!!! I like the salad, but calling it a Cesar Salad is very misleading.
