We ate in the Dining Room during our stay and had two of the tasting menus which we greatly enjoyed. A lot of the produce was from their own garden and as much as possible was locally sourced. I certainly recommend the Dining Room and...will return when we are next in the area

The food’s verging on Michelin star quality but the service is just so, so slow. I think we may have caught them on an off day with key staff away but they were woefully understaffed in the restaurant. I don’t really want to to be...too critical because the food really was good, but the service just doesn’t do it justice. The lady tried her hardest but she was on her own. We stayed over too and the breakfast, when we eventually got a table, and it eventually turned up, was excellent too. Enough said.

Mallory Court has become our go-to when looking to celebrate a special occasion. The staff are really friendly and professional, and made us feel totally looked after. We both had the taster menu, and shared a flight of wines. I had the venison and my...husband had the skate. Every mouthful of the food was completely delicious, and the wine was paired perfectly with it, elevating it to even higher levels of experience. It all felt very safe too, with anti-Covid measures in place. We really could not have asked for a better way to celebrate my masters degree results. Thank you all! Speisekarte ansehen

We were booked into the hotel on a DB&B Package and had the tasting menu which was put together by the chef after seeing what produce they had available in the gardens and it was Sublime. We spoke with the staff about what happens if...your staying for a number of nights and they confirmed that the chef would change the tasting menu to give you option or there was an a la carte menu also available. The staff were all helpful and engaging, they clearly knew what they were doing and had been trained in efficiency as well as to a high standard of service. We will certainly be back to sample more that the hotel has to offer.

At per person, the tasting menu should be pretty good, but it wasn't to our taste, indeed my wife could hardly eat it at all. It's very complicated and they've put the work in, but everything was terribly sweet, apart from the small main...course (which was the one excellent part). We were given a couple of good rolls each, which is an accepted but salty way of providing carbohydrates and the many amuse bouches , tastes of etc. were also fairly salty (as well as sweet) and not very interesting. Even the savoury course was a bit sweet. Service was average. If you have a sweet tooth, you may love this meal. I wonder if I could pretend to have a sugar allergy next time.

I would have loved to have given a full star review for our visit but couldn’t because of the unprofessional, abrupt slightly unwelcoming manner of the maitre d’. I hope for the venues sake it was just that we unluckily caught him on...an off day (or maybe he was a stand in) as he was the only flustered unprofessional member of staff we were served by all night. Once taken from the lounge to our beautiful table we were utterly spoilt with exceptional food service from to pm in a manner totally deserving a Michelin star. I am not normally a reviewer, however I felt on this occasion I needed to so hopefully when the of us return again, we along with all other patrons might get the same profess... Speisekarte ansehen
