"Not sure I’ve ever felt the urge to review a takeaway but last night, for about 20 minutes, my daughter in law and I sat, mainly opened mouthed, observing the staff at this fish shop! The woman with glasses and dark hair, did nothing but shout, embarrass and clearly stress the team around her, and, us as customers, several of us waiting glanced at each other as she snapped and shouted. There are a lot of staff working here and from what we could see, all were busy and efficient, this woman clearly not appreciating this was rude! “Why is that there” she shouted at one young girl. Who replied “because you told me to put it there” and she said oh! And no apology followed. Several more episodes of snapping did though We felt tense and relieved after 20 minutes that we could get away from the atmosphere. The poor staff had to stay I know some people have a bad day, it is a busy place but it’s business and I appreciate it’s not a restaurant but it’s still a place where paying members of the public should expect good service, polite staff and at least standard customer service. (The rest of the staff all pleasant) if this woman is like this all the time, I genuinely feel for the people who work there. For us, we thankfully rarely have fish shop food so can avoid this experience The food, nice. Big portions but that’s not what we talked about, the experience of Ramsay in Bryncae was the chat over dinner"

Staff have no respect for residents when leaving their work around 10pm, standing outside the shop shouting and screaming and all gathering around their cars with music blasting. Chavs

Rude to me when attempting to read the sign outside saying "what does she want now!? "very abruptly As it was my first time ordering during pandemic. Made to feel very unwelcome . Needless to say wont be back.

Ordered fish and the fast becoming famous dirty burger. Ordering was very easy over the phone , collection was prompt. Staff were very polite and friendly, faultless service. Food was lovely and not greasy. No bone sin fish either. Recommend

You can't always park here but it does have a biggish menu. Can be a bit hiss and miss with the quality of the chips as this shop is open all afternoon so the chips are sometimes only warm rather than freshly cooked, they also cater for the smaller appetite with small fish and chips. This shop does home deliveries.

Ordered fish bites and chips Dirty fries/chips Absolutely awful and well over priced! More batter than fish and looked nothing like fish bites, more the size of marbles. Dirty fries were described as crispy bacon, onions, jalapeños and melted cheese, no jalapeños, plastic cheese and nothing crispy about the bacon and onions! Chips weren’t great either. Will definitely not be ordering from there again......

This is a traditional fish and chip shop serving the community of Bryncae offering a great selection of family favourites such as sausage in batter, potato fritters, rissoles, chip butties and pies. The chip shop also sells the Bryncae signature dirty fries burgers (topped with cheese, burger sauce, crispy onions and bacon) and chicken nugget onion ring share boxes. This is the first time that we have visited this fish shop and ordered fish bites, chicken balti pie and large chips. The service was quick, the fish was cooked fresh to order and the portion sizes were adequate. The food was very tasty and next time we visit we will try the dirty fries.
