Caffe Cardosi - Speisekarte

Visit Cafe Cardosi regularly and have never been disappointed. ALL the staff are friendly and helpful ,even when busy . Coffee and cake fresh and tasty as always.

Had coffee and scones. As always the fruit scone was lovely, the Cheese and caramelised onion scone was really really tasty. They were very busy but we waited hardly any time at all . Well done to All the staff on such a warm and muggy day.

We were thrilled to find coffee with syrup at this restaurant after traveling the NC500. Many of the remote coffee shops we visited did not offer syrup, but this one did. The coffee was excellent, not too hot and delicious. We also enjoyed a cheese scone with jam, which was amazing. Speisekarte ansehen

Was back up and thought we’d try again, managed to get a couple of specials this time and they were really good but didn’t appreciate being called “my dear” by a girl young enough to be my granddaughter(made me feel ancient). Missed our lovely waitress from last time she was so nice and helpful.

A staff member simply gestured toward a table for me to sit at. I waited approximately 10 minutes for my order to be taken. The food was acceptable, but nothing remarkable. After finishing my meal, I sat for 20 minutes with an empty plate in front of me. I had intended on ordering a dessert and hot drink, but I grew frustrated waiting and decided to pay at the register instead. No one checked in to see if everything was satisfactory. I have no desire to return to this establishment.

Parked up in Thurso after a 5 a.m. start from Stirling. Had the full breakfast, which was piping hot and second-to-none. A very large cup of coffee to go with it, and first class service. i was particularly impressed with the waitress who noticed that my 4-year old grandson was looking longingly at the cake display after asking for a cupcake, and brought him one out very quickly, which disappeared equally quickly. I always pop in here if I have time to kill while waiting for the ferry, but this was the first time I'd had the breakfast, which I heartily recommend. Speisekarte ansehen

Came for lunch on busy Saturday afternoon. Friendly, attentive staff who attended to me in a timely manner. Although it was a smaller portion than expected, and I did need a cake to fill me up! The baking looked lovely and fresh. However, I did notice my coffee did take longer than expected, the lady making it (who I assume was the manager/owner as she was wearing her own loud clothing compared to the other black clothed staff) did not bare a smile on her face and was slow and unorganised. Kudos to the rest of the staff as they were brilliant and the manager is the only thing that would put me off returning.

My wife and I traveled to Orkney last week on a ferry to visit family. We stopped at Caffe Cardosi on Tuesday for coffee and lunch before heading to our hotel. The place was very busy, but the staff did a great job keeping up. We ordered an Americano and a tea, which arrived quickly. The Americano was a bit weak, but it wouldn't deter us from returning in the future. The person who served us was wonderful, though we didn't catch her name. She had a foreign accent, possibly Russian or Romanian, and was an older woman. She was friendly, talkative, and efficient in taking our order and bringing our food. Couldn’t decide wether to post this but feel it needs to be said as it’s happened on more than one occasion. Went in with the family and one of my sons first time ordered a hot chocolate with marshmallow with cream, got a hot chocolate with nothing on it and tasted weak and more just like warm milk, not the biggest drama in the world but was still disappointing for my son who’s autistic and likes the same drink everytime and granted Cardosi’s normally make it perfectly! Another time we went in and again my son ordered a hot chocolate with all the works and got given a mocha.
