"A truly fabulous experience from the welcome we received as when we went into the restaurant to the excellent food which was presented for all the courses including the amuse bouche and the petit fours with the coffee.This is a restaurant in the old style...where there are no foams or tasting menus but proper honest beautifully and lovingly prepared food.An added bonus was the menu we had included wine-only a choice of red or white which was named for an extra €9 for as much as we wanted to drink!!!the chef himself was on hand during the whole service and even took orders and explained dishes to his customers.It was obvious he was was exceedingly proud of his restaurant and all his efforts have paid off.The only disadvantage for us was that he did not open on Sat or Sun so we had to visit at Mon lunchtime before we travelled home in the evening."

"Nous sommes allées déjeuner à l'Informel avec une amie. Habitantes de Dunkerque, nous n'avions pas encore eu l'occasion d'essayer. Un peu rebutée par le prix, j'ai suivi mon amie par curiosité. Pour ma part, j'ai testé le Veggy et il est très bon et copieux ! L'accompagnement est un peu léger mais je n'aurais pas su en manger plus... Si il est fort probable que je reviendrai avec mon conjoint pour tester la viande, je ne le mettrai pas dans la liste des adresses où je mange régulièrement."

"At noon we found a table four times after 5 minutes. All other tables were hosts of the French families for their lunch and there was a comfortable conversation about the dining room. We ordered our main courses (Brussels, chicken bread and chicken in a cream sauce from a short menu and waited while our food was prepared. Drinks were served immediately and then a pate/toast/beetroot plate in Chicory leaves/beef dripping(! as starter. We didn't realize this was coming, but it was a nice aperitif. Our meals were accompanied by a bowl of salad and a bowl of French fries. The meat was delicious and my cream sauce was nice. Unfortunately we had no time for the desserts that were included in the price. Although our French were not very strong, we were very welcome and the service and the food were both excellent."
