Canonbury Kitchen - Speisekarte

This restaurant is okay, but not great I loved the airy and bright atmosphere, but was disappointed by the food.

Exquisite food and ambience. Truly a hidden gem and not one to be missed! Without a doubt one of my favourite places to go.

Such amazing food, friendly service and delicious wine. The food was as good as being in Italy, we’ve decided we’ll become regulars!

Visited for dinner. We both had the gnocchi. The food was lovely and the service was also good. However, the prices are too inflated to be classed as value for money. £75 for 2 mains, 2 glasses of house wine and 1 dessert was heavily on the expensive side for what we received.

Simple, fantastically cooked and flavoursome food. One of the best Italians in London and very different from the piles of pasta in some other places. A place you come out of glowing. And great, fun staff we went for a quick meal before a show, but would ideally spend hours here. Speisekarte ansehen

We revisited for my birthday after an evening at the Union Chapel and once again had a fabulous meal. I chose the Spaghetti with tiger prawns and my husband had the gnocchi porcini with truffles . Both were delicious. We made room for the Christmas pudding panna cotta which was so good . The service and presentation were excellent and look forward to returning next time we’re in the area .

As an italian foodie, it really pisses me off seeing these Italian restaurant overcharge as there's so many other options that are much better. The dishes were bland, way too salty and with zero care in plating. I had the swordfish which was literally just that with a terrible sauce. The saltimbocca were overcooked pieces of meat with cheese and ham slapped over it. The only good thing were the gnocchi with mushrooms, but for Italian food there are much better and cheaper options.

Whilst I don’t live locally, 40miles away to be precise, I have been here 3 times now. It really is simple, with a pub you want good food, good beer and good vibes. And that’s why I keep returning. This time with my family and dog! This time we have soup of the day (leek and potato) and baked Camembert to start. As it says on the tin. But the pie was absolutely delicious, and so was loin of venison, cooked perfectly pink. Not a long review form me this time, but hopefully after many of these, the fact I keep coming back says enough! Speisekarte ansehen
