Casa Caribena - Speisekarte

Super Service BAD BAD Food :((( We were here as group of 20 people. All the food was terrible. Crazy fact - We were used to good food here :(

We went to Casa Caribena 2 times. The first time, we had the pleasure of listening to live latin music and eat a delicious meal: house bread with butter and garlic, chicken with mango and grilled calamari with ananas. Delightful! And the staff very friendly.The second time we went to the summer location, on the summer stage. There were less meals available, but they were again good (the chicken very good, but the shrimps dry).

Wir waren zweimal im Casa Caribena. Beim ersten Mal hatten wir das Vergnügen, Live-Latin-Musik zu genießen und ein köstliches Essen zu haben: Hausbrot mit Butter und Knoblauch, Hähnchen mit Mango und gegrillte Calamari mit Ananas. Unglaublich! Und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Beim zweiten Mal waren wir im Sommerplatz auf der Sommerbühne. Es gab weniger Gerichte zur Auswahl, aber sie waren wieder gut (das war sehr gut, nur die Garnelen waren etwas trocken). Speisekarte ansehen

We had a delicious and satisfying dinner at Casa Caribena. I enjoyed mostly the seafood dishes: Gambas al Ajillo and Pago Rojo in Coconut Sauce were excellent. I also had a mojito which was made with the traditional hierba buena (unlike regular mint).I believe that the meat dishes were less traditional, although I only tried the Jamaican Jerk Chicken which was good although not the classical version.The service was timely and always with a smile and the ambiance was very good as well.It will definitely not be the last time we visit Casa Caribena.

We recently met friends for dinner at summer stage and decided to try Casa Caribena. Given the location, their menu is limited which is OK, but the food was really not very good. We waited a very long time for the food to be brought to our table, and when it finally arrived it looked like it had just been slapped on the plate. The food was swimming in oil and quite bland, very disappointing for Caribbean food. Also, the prices were very high considering what was being served to us. It was not good value at all. Ein angenehmes Restaurant im Wiener Servitenviertel, in der Nähe der U-Bahn-Station Rossauerlände. Buntes Interieur mit vielen Kunstwerken und einer offenen Küche, in der alles frisch von den Köchen zubereitet wird. Die hausgemachte tropische Limonade war ein echtes Geschmackserlebnis und wurde ebenfalls frisch aus vielen braunen Limetten und Zucker gemacht. Wir haben beide vegetarische Gerichte und ein Reisgericht mit gebratenen, zerbrochenen Kochbananen gewählt. Das Reisgericht war sehr geschmackvoll und sättigend und schmeckte mit einem Spritzer des typischen chili-infundierten Öls, das auf dem Tisch bereitstand, noch besser. Ich war mit meiner Freundin dort. Das Restaurant befindet sich an der Ecke Glassergasse 15, es gibt ein paar Stufen, um hineinzukommen. Das Personal war sehr nett und bot uns eine kleine Tasse der Suppe des Tages an, da wir neu waren. Wir bestellten das Essen und als es serviert wurde, sah es aus wie ein Witz. Es gab kleine Fleischstücke (vielleicht 30g Fleisch?), die hauptsächlich aus Knochen bestanden, auf einigen gegrillten Gemüse. Das könnte ich in 5 Minuten zu Hause machen, seit ich 9 Jahre alt bin. Ich denke, wenn man jemanden bezahlt, um für einen zu kochen, sollte derjenige einen besseren Job machen, als man selbst könnte. Die Portionen waren lächerlich und der Geschmack war nichts B...
